SANTA ANITA

Race 1

In the old days at Santa Anita we would all be looking for Irish Obrien to be running and we would bet the green. No such luck on this lousy St. Patrick’s day card today. In race one No. 1 Pleasant Earth has run back to back good races on this dirt course and will get a good trip from his rail post going a flat mile. No. 6 Donato looks to be the speed of the speed in here and the one to catch. 1-6

Race 2

This 1 ¼ turf route really stinks especially when No. 1a Unknown Heat looks best and this 5yo mare has just one win in 28 races. 1a/all

Race 3

No. 1 John Eli is getting his second start off the layoff for trainer Ron McAnally who has been on a win or nothing roll this meet with for wins from thirteen starters and no second or thirds. Race 7

No. 1 Miles Rules ran very good as a 2yo and will be faster as a 3yo, look for a big effort today, No. 6 Subpoena The Dress gets a major confident move up in class by trainer Avilia and he can win with this move. 1-6
