SANTA ANITA

Race 1

The rains came again on Wednesday so it will be very hard to get a handle on the track but we will try and see what we can come up with. No. 2 Pocatello Wild Kat has the look of a filly that can go long, No. 5 Nena Ideal and No. 6 Lisa Lulu both exit the same race and jockey Chantal Sutherland will take over the mount on Lisa Lulu for trainer Abrams and that means she is very live. 2-5-6

Race 2

If the all go in this 40k maiden claimer for 3yo fillies there is a ton of early speed and we sill side with No. 1 Sea Empress who gets her second start for a trainer that wins at a 26% rate with second time maidens. No. 2 This Time Baby will sit off the pace and try and make a run down the lane, No. 4 Warren’s Moon is out of the low profile barn of Jorge Gutierrez but top jock Bejarano gets the call on this first time starter. 1-2-4

Race 3

This race is scheduled to go on the 6½ furlong downhill turf course, if so we will go with No. 7 Jehan (turf or pro ride) and No. 9 Flashover turf only. 7-9

Race 6

No. 4 Red Alarm woke up big time in her last start for the hot Espinoza and she will love the turn back to 6½ furlongs, No. 7 Sunny Peace never got untracked in her last start but makes a quick comeback and will go better today. 4-7

Race 7

We have another turf race to deal with and we will go with three exiting the same race, No. 2 Powerofvoodoo who has just two wins from 43 starts but she is in good form and will be coming for a piece. No. 5 Welken who is just the opposite with seven wins from 23 starts and hitting the board in 19 of those races. She exits a big win and gets moved up in her first start off the Mike Mitchell claim.
