Peter Miller sends out two runners in here No. 5 Sacred Ovation the speed and No. 6 Moonlight Meeting who will sit and he has won 3 of his five starts here, both come off the Peter Miller claim.

2yo $50k maidens go six furlongs, No. 8 Mike’s Benchmark ran his best race here back in October. No. 12 Little Mustard has finished 3rd in all three of his starts, after those two this one is wide open. 8-12

Race 3

No. 1 Escape gets the blinkers back on and this is a 34% move for Baffert, Bejarano gets the call today as Martin Garcia who has been on this filly all four races opts for the Baffert first time starter No. 8 Power Cat a $600k purchase. No. 6 Asian’s Way is a first time starter for Baltas who has been working with a purpose. No. 9 Quigley’s Corner (named for Tom Quigley) is a first timer for Tom Proctor and she filly also has some good works. 1-6-8-9

We will take our shot in here and single No. 12 No Silent who ran a much better than looked 6th in the BC turf sprint at Keeneland. Gary Mandella has done a masterful job with this 6yo gelding and he gets a great post for this downhill turf sprint. 12

Maiden 2yo go 7 furlongs, No. 5 Oppidum has back to back five furlong works for Baffert and that signals go. No. 6 Weirdhaircut Seth exits our HTW list off a solid second and the one who beat him last out came back to score next out. Joel Rosario is in town and he gets on the Sadler first time starter by Curlin, Curlin Rules. No. 11 An Khe Pass gets Irad Oritz Jr up for Hollendorfer. Irad and his brother are in town to ride. 5-6-8-11

THE GRADE II MATHIS BROTHERS MILE

We will go singling again using No. 5 Mister Brightside who has had trouble in both of his starts here in the states. He gets big race Mike Smith today and will get a fast pace to sit off of and make his one run down the lane. 5

THE $300K GRADE I LA BREA

In the 7 furlong La Brea No. 2 Hot City Girl comes to town for Linda Rice and Jose Oritz is in for the ride. No. 3 Cavorting also comes to town for Kiaran McLaughlin and Jose’s bro Irad is in for the ride and if you bet New York we note these brother have a knack of running one two. 2-3

THE $300K GRADE I MALIBU

The boys go sprinting 7 furlongs in the Grade I Malibu and McLaughlin ships in two runners. No. 2 Marking who has won both of his starts very easy and now gets the acid test and No. 3 Watershed with Rosario in the irons. The horse to beat will be No. 4 Runhappy who will be a short price coming off his dramatic win in the BC sprint, he is looking for  his six straight win. No. 7 Lord Nelson will look for the upset from off the hot pace. 2-3-4-7

In the last race we will use three runners exiting our HTW list and all out of the same race. No. 5 Hunt who finished a fast closing second, No. 6 Itsinthepost who was a close third in his first try as a gelding last out and No. 9 Second Summer the 4th place finisher who had a very bad trip. 5-6-9

We will go with the two droppers exiting the same race. No. 4 Hurryhank who has finished second in both of his turf starts here and No. 6 Mucho Macho Dan who owns a win over this turf course. 4-6

No. 3 Headin’to Hap’s drops to his lowest level trying to cash. No. 7 Onehundredmiles exits the same race and gets off the grass. 3-7

Race 3

No. 3 Seeking Asylum has won 4 of his 5 starts here with a second, bet him to cash. No. 4 Maximum Maximum gets a big drop in class and Cedillo back on and he was on this gelding the last time he won.

No. 2 Time Jumper has won 3 of his 6 starts on this turf course and Baze has won with him the last two times he has been aboard. No. 3 Docs Legacy is in top form winning four in a row. No. 5 Rosary Man is looking for the upset. 2-3-5

No. 3 Hallie Jae drops and that will make her very dangerous with this soft crew. No. 6 Pulpit Hanna has finished second in both of her starts at this level. 3-6

Race 6

No. 2 Marqula and No. 7 Allaboutaction both exits the Goldrush. No. 3 Midnight Ming won at first asking at .90 cents on the dollar and will look to score at a price this time. 2-3-7

Race 7

No. 2 That’s Your Story comes off a nice win here at this distance on the synthetic. No. 6 Plan a Surprise has done little wrong in her three race career. 2-6

Race 8

No. 10 Life Is a Joy is the key player in here for Wong/Baze. We will key him first and second in a trifecta using No. 2 Uncle Enroy, No. 4 Fly Blue and No. 7 Mojave Heat. 10-2-4-7

Race 9

No. 6 Briana Jean fits at this level and the maiden breaker looks like it comes today. No. 11 Sierrastorm and No. 12 Of Course It Is are the main danger. 6-11-12
