SANTA ANITA

Race 1

We start this lackluster day with five runners, before scratches going 6 furlongs in this $50k maiden claimer for 3yo fillies. No. 2 Hell On Heels gets her second start and took some action in her first at Del Mar for a $62,500 price tag finishing 4th in a field of six. No. 3 Mrs. O P Cafe looks live for O’Neill first out of the box in a very soft field. No. 5 Sweet Invention was well in front of Hell On Heels in that race.

2-3-5

Race 2

No. 3 Howdy just missed by a head at Los Al on December 13th, he broke his maiden here at this mile distance. No. 5 It Is Living Water is a four time winner and drops into a spot that makes him the one to beat. No. 7 Toledo Eddie is a ten time winner and just went wire-to-wire when beating Howdy. 3-5-7

Race 3

No. 1 Bolt Up is the speed on the rail and is out of the very dangerous Wong barn. No. 5 Rosiescruella was well bet in her one and only start and now gets the stretchout. 1-5

Race 4

No. 2 Got Tobe Awesome finished second in both of his starts sprinting and now will go a mile. No. 3 Wondering Ways exits the same race and will be gunning from the bell. 2-3

Race 5

The hot Richard Baltas sends out No. 1 Ponder Lea as Santiago Gonzalez gets back on and he was aboard for the maiden breaker, she is the speed on the rail. No. 7 Audra gets her first start off the maiden breaker and first off the O’Neill claim and Bejarano who was on Ponder Lea last time out moves to this filly. 1-7

Exacta box 1-7 and win and place 1

Race 6

No. 1 Amberella has run good in all four of her starts winning her last going a mile and now will be sent 1-1/16. No. 8 Bayonet is looking for her 3rd straight win and her works say can do. 1-8

Race 7

This one is very wide open, No. 3 Easter Fever gets a nice jock switch and will like the extra furlong today. No. 4 Desert Thief finished second in her last start at this distance. No. 5 Sharaun gets off the grass and just may take to the dirt and we get Kent D getting a rare ride for Jerry Hollendorfer. No. 11 Behest won her first two starts and she looks this good. 3-4-5-11

Race 8

$8k 4yo and up fillies and mares go 6-1/2 furlongs, No. 1 Lil Cheyenne ran a good second last out at this level. No. 4 Racing for Chasen drops in class and has the brothers Desormeaux connections. No. 9 Mybabykim comes off a good win last out and has two nice works since. 1-4-9
