3yo maidens go down the hill, No. 3 Freemark exits our HTW list as a $$$ play, he showed good early speed when caught down on the rail exiting the dreaded post number one at Los Al, he battled tooth and nail but tired late finishing 3rd, if he clears today he will be gone! Trainer Tom Proctor sends out a Kitten’s Joy first time starter No. 6 Chicago Style who has a real nice last work, he is very live. No. 8 Tiz a Billy just did get bobbed on the line going down the hill in his last start and now gets a great post and Prat, all systems are a go. 3-6-8

4yo and up fillies and mares go 1-1/16, No. 2 Melanistic gets a nice drop and Prat rides for the hot Baltas. No. 6 Holograeme took a horrible tough beat last time out getting nosed on the line after a slow start and a wide run into the lane. 2-6

$10k claimers go the tough distance of 7 furlongs. No. 5 Hear the Footsteps gets a big drop in class and gets off the grass and trainer Jacobson is due to break through and he hits at 33% when dropping two classes, we will take our shot and single in the players pick five. 5

No. 1 Adios Princess ran her best race at Los Al when coming out of the good post nine, she could be overbet and the rail may not be the place to be. No. 2 Ok Doll exits the same race, she ran a better than looked 5th. No. 4 Instant Drama gets her second start and comes off a good try here back in October of last year. Bob Baffert sends out the $600k first time starter No. 8 Power Cat. 1-2-4-8

Race 6

4yo fillies and mares go a mile on the grass, No. 5 Analog Girl is in from Kentucky and lands in the barn of Mike Machowsky who has put some solid works into her, all three of her wins have come on the grass and two at this distance. No. 7 Bottle Blonde drops a notch and will be on or near the pace. No. 8 Doodetta also drops and gets back on the grass, she owns a win over the course. 5-7-8

Race 7

THE $200K LA CANADA

No. 5 Yahilwa comes off a little layoff after trying the best in the BC Distaff, has been working very good and gets big race Mike Smith today. No. 6 Birdatthwire won the Grade I La Brea with Mike Smith who opts for Yahilwa, Van Dyke will ride and he is Proctors other go to rider. Gary Stevens rides the speedy No. 7 Taris who is in from New York, he has run good here in the past. 5-6-7

Race 8

No. 2 Hard Night’s Day comes off a nice win down the hill and will find a good stalking position once again. No. 3 Warrenscrystalized won first out going down the hill and came back to run big again on the dirt, he goes back down the hill today. 2-3

Race 9

3yo maiden $30k fillies go 5-1/2 furlongs, No. 10 Old Hollywood ran good when dropped to this level last time out when bet down to 8/5. No. 11 Two Steps of Glory is a hanger but fits here. No. 1 Lil Jessica is the only first time starter in here and could surprise. 1-10-11

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 1 Tap Dancing is in from Southern Cal and finds a good spot. No. 2 Smart Attraction looks the speed. No. 5 Wahine Warrior finished in front of Smart Attraction in that last race. 1-2-5

Race 2

No. 3 French Alps is a win machine winning 15 of her 25 starts, she drops into a spot that makes her the one to beat. No. 5 Zanbo drops back to the level claimed and will be the danger. 3-5

Race 3

No. 3 Juju’s Mojo ships in and gets the huge drop to the bottom, she wins at odds on if she still has three legs. No. 6 Mischief Pearl will be the main danger. 3-6

Race 4

No. 5 I Will Follow is the speed on the drop and Baze gets on for Mathis. No. 7 Gotham Sky will try and run him down. 5-7

Race 5

No. 2 Triple Drama is a live first time starter for Sherman. No. 4 Scathing drops, gets off the grass and back sprinting. 2-4

Race 6

No. 2 Genuine Luck shipped in and got the big maiden breaker, it was a big effort and she looks like a repeater. No. 6 Tequila Mary will try and outrun them from the bell. 2-6

Race 7

THE $100K CALIFORNIA DERBY

At one time this was a big race, now not even 10 Kentucky Derby points can the winner get. We will side with the two shippers, No. 6 Frank Conversation comes out of the Grade I Los Al Futurity and Mario is in for the ride. No. 7 Canada gets off the grass and may like the synthetic surface and Solid is in for the ride.

No. 3 Silver Bounce Back is the speed and gets his first start off the Morey claim. No. 5 Drink Til You Drop gets Baze and will try and run down Silver Bounce Back. 3-5

Race 9

No. 4 An Khe Pass is in from Santa Anita for Hollendorfer and that last work says we will see a different 3yo today, No. 7 San Dimas ran good here last time and will only need to move forward a little bit. 4-7
