SANTA ANITA

No. 2 Hadfunlastnight is the speed and gets Bejarano. No. 6 No Contingency has good tracking speed and gets his first start off the Pender claim. No. 7 Giant Ego is in good form, likes to win races and beat No Contingency last time out when Santiago Gonzalez got the ride and he is back on today. 2-6-7

Race 2

They go down the hill in the $100k Irish O’Brien. No. 2 Nite Delite comes off a wire-to-wire win down the hill and once again looks the speed in this five horse field. No. 5 Velvet Mesquite has won 6 of 12 down the hill and is the one to beat. 2-5

Race 3

This is one bad group of $30k maiden 3yo fillies and that leads us to first time starter No. 10 Yavrig who is out of the dam East Hampton who has dropped 3 winners from 3 starter and this is a hot jockey trainer combo. No. 12 Sunshine Laurie looks best of the ones that have run. 10***-12

Win and place 10

Race 4

The one time No. 1 Second Summer won was when Bejarano rode him and he gets on today and he also exits a key race. Baffert sends out two runners No. 3 Dream Team and No. 6 Fusaichi Samurai the likely chalk but we will use both. 1-3-6

Race 5

In the last leg of the pick five we get maidens going a mile on the grass. No. 3 Country Road made a nice last run in his first start down the hill and he gets Lasix today. No. 7 Lord of Chaos was washy at the gate in his last start and never got into the race. His first start makes him a contender and he has been working lights out at Los Al. No. 11 Cool Green has run two times going a mile on the grass and both would win this and that last work says he is on go. No. 12 Infinite Loop is the barn mate of Country Road and exits the same race. 3-7-11****-12

Race 6

More maiden 3yo fillies running for a $30k price tag. No. 6 Lil Jessica just missed one race back at this level and ran ok for a $50k price tag last out. No. 7 April Fools drops and exits a tough heat and is a must use.

Race 7

No. 3 Altaira has been hanging like a rat lately but Bejarano sticks. No. 5 Aparri had a troubled trip last out when dropped to this level and will go better today. No. 7 Unusual Storm exits the same race as the top two and gets her first start off the claim and Maldo will have her closer today. 3-5-7

Race 8

In this downhill turf sprint No. 4 Bench Warrant gets some needed class relief and is a tow time winner down the hill. No. 6 Stormy Liberal is in good form and can handle the course. No. 7 Fueled by Bourbon has won 3 of 4 down the hill. 4-6-7

Race 9

THE $500K GRADE I SANTA MARGARITA

In the 1-1/8 Santa Margarita No. 2 Tara’s Tango comes off a nice win in the Grade II Santa Maria and just missed one back in the Grade II Santa Monica. Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin makes a rare ship in with No. 3 Penwith who comes off of two wins and gets big race Mike Smith in the irons. Big race Gary Stevens rerides No. 7 Taris who is in great form and she comes off a win in the Grade II La Canada. 2-3-7

Race 10

Maiden 3yo fillies go 6 furlongs. No. 2 Ready to Hula Lula was bet like a good thing in her first start, she showed good early speed opening up two in the stretch but could not hold, she has come back to work good. No. 5 Easy Song is a first time starter out of the dam Zoelu who has dropped 6 winners from 6 starters. No. 8 Watch Me Now exits our HTW list and will be our key play in here. No. 11 Correlation beds down in a top barn and gets Prat for her first start, her last works says ready.  8**-2-5-11

Race 11

The last leg of the late pick four gets $40k claimers going 1-1/8 on the grass. No. 12 Buymeabond has been so unlucky, he is a perfect fit at this level and we like Blanc getting the call, he will be our single. 12*****

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 2 Land of Oz has improved in all of his starts and is perfectly spotted off the win. No. 4 Rye gets his first start off the win and the Morey claim. 2-4

Race 2

No. 1 Bargaining is the speed on the rail going 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 4 Saleofthecentury gets a huge class drop. No. 6 Roper will sit and try and run the speed down. 1-4-6

Race 3

No. 2 Life Is a Joy looks like an odds on winner and the logical single in the picks. 2

Race 4

No. 4 Emma’s Joy comes off the layoff and drops from a straight maiden race. No. 7 Royal Anastacia looks live at first asking at a price. 4-7

Race 5

No. 2 Ninnavee just keeps winning and is a must use as she goes for her hat trick and we will get a better price as Baze jumps to the Santa Anita shipper No. 3 Sky Forever. No. 5 Power of Nine drops off the Jacobson claim. 2-3-5

Race 6

No. 1 Squidward has run second in both of his starts and now will go a mile. No. 3 The Big Train exits the same race. 1-3

Race 7

THE $50K CAMILLA URSO

Hollendorfer brings in No. 1 Never Ends and has put some nice works into her. The speedy No. 2 Amaranth comes back to town and she has won 2 of her 3 starts here. No. 3 Minks Aprise is the barn mate of Never Ends and gets Baze, she has won 2 of 3 starts here with a second. 1-2-3

Race 8

$8k maidens 3yo fillies go 6 furlongs. No. 5 Blazeinblairesden ships in and gets the big drop by Miyadi. No. 6 Donut Talk to Me gets her second start at this level and the extra half a furlong could get her home on top. 5-6

Race 9

No. 1 Mischief Pearl drops and gets back to the distance of her win and is 15/1 on the morning line, we will be using. No. 3 Cajun Cookin also drops and looks the one to beat. No. 5 Two Steps of Glory is another in from Santa Anita for Miyadi who gets a big drop. 1-3-5
