He gets Bejarano for his first start on the West Coast and that last work says go. No. 6 Lauren’s Ladd ran good on the grass last year as a 2yo going a mile, he finds a great spot. No. 7 Southern Pharaoh gets his second start for Baffert and first on the grass, he gets a great post for this.

No. 2 Lucky Shoes to Win is in top form and is a perfect fit at this level. No. 6 Tiz Jolie gets his first start off the sneaky Paulo Lobo claim, Mario Gutierrez gets the call. 2-6

Race 3

THE $75K SINGLETARY AT A MILE ON THE GRASS

No. 1 Lucky Bryan looks ready off the layoff for Sadler. No. 2 Arcature has run good in all three of his turf races and looks the one to beat. 1-2

Race 4

There are five front runners in this five furlong sprint and that leads out to No. 2 Wrightwood who will get the perfect setup, he comes off a voided claim back in March but looks ok now. No. 8 Outthink’em will also be making a late run. 2-8

Race 5

$40k maidens go a flat mile on the dirt. No. 2 Latest Craze drops again for Baffert but gets Bejarano today. No. 4 Volume just missed with straight maidens last June and now shows up in this spot, all is not well but a must use. No. 8 Fashionly Handsome will be on or near the front end and may be the one to catch down the lane. 2-4-8

Race 6

THE GRADE III LAZARO BARRERA AT 7 FURLONGS

No. 3 Mrazek exits our HTW list and gets his second start off the layoff, look for big effort. No. 4 Denman’s Call gets back on a fast track and is the barn mate of Mrazek. No. 5 Smokey Image has come down the earth since moving in with open company but can get back on his game in this spot.

Race 7

Gonzalez gets back on No. 1 Giant Ego and the drop back to this level makes him the one to beat. No. 6 Hadfunlastnight is in top form and the move to 7 furlongs will make him a big danger, after those two this is anyones race. 1-6 (all)

Race 8

Maidens go 1-1/16 on the dirt. This could be a Giant to Giant double as No. 4 Giant Expectations gets off the slop and stretches out and gets Bejarano, all systems are go. No. 7 One More Round comes off a second place finish in the Lexington behind Collected who will be facing Nyquist in the Preakness, he is the speed. 4-7

Race 9

No. 9 Desert Dynamo exits our HTW list off a head loss last out at this level and distance, he gets his second off the layoff. No. 11 Fueled by Bourbon also exits our HTW list, he exits the same race as Desert Dynamo. 9-11

In this mile turf race No. 3 Toppers Sunshine ran a sneaky good race in her last start at this mile turf distance. No. 5 Belle Et Bete just missed last out and gets her first start off the Avila claim and its good to note that Prat stays on. 3-5

Race 11

Maiden $20k fillies and mares go 5-1/2 furlongs. We will go singling here using No. 8 Vida Bonita who exits our HTW list off a huge try first out of the box when battling back in the lane to finish second. 8

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 1 Kalkan Kaye just missed last out in her first try at this level, she will sit just off the hot pace. No. 5 Skeeter Davis gets her second start and exits the same race. 1-5

Race 2

No. 3 Cajun Cookin gets back to the level of her last win. She will try and hold off No. 5 Cordiality who is looking for the hat trick and gets her first start off the claim. 3-5

Race 3

They go 1-1/16 on the grass. No. 4 Triple Drama has big early speed and the filly who beat her last out came right back to score. No. 3 Forbidden Command is the only runner in here with a turf win. 3-4

Race 4

No. 4 Lizzy Marini will be a solid single in the picks at odds on, after her any of the others could show up.

No. 1 Castellani was looking for the grass in her first start on this circuit but had to run on the synthetic. She missed by a neck and will be hard to beat today as she will try and turn the tables on No. 2 Charming Starlet how beat her. No. 4 Top Tizzy is the speed and gets her second off the layoff. 1**-2-4

No. 3 Kronwall is the speed and drops back to the level of his win. No. 4 Preacher’s Bluff just missed at this level last out and gets his main jock back today. No. 5 Intaxication never runs a bad race and fits here.

THE $50K GOLDEN POPPY AT 1-1/16 ON THE GRASS

No. 1 Central Heat is a win machine and has won six straight races including the race last year. No. 6 Miss Boom Boom is 2 for 2 on this course and will get the right pace. 1-6

Race 8

Maiden fillies and mares go six furlongs. No. 4 Dynamic Summer gets her second off the layoff and she just missed last out. No. 1 Red Rose Lady is a first time starter out of the dam Red Hair Lady who has dropped 3 winners from 3 starters and her trainer does well with first time starters. 1-4**

Race 9

The .20 cent pick six and the late pick four end with $20k maiden 3yo going a mile on the grass. No. 4 Jimmy the Juice drops and stretches out, he will try and take them wire-to-wire. No. 6 Irish is in from Santa Anita for Craig Dollase and is bred to get this turf trip, he ran ok in his one turf race last year at Del Mar when meeting some tough turf horse. No. 10 Montellier gets his first start off the Morey claim and is bred for the grass. 4-6-10
