SANTA ANITA
Race 1
Prat comes back off of three days down time and gets back on No. 1 Prince Valiant, he is the main player in this 16k claimer. No. 2 Wade moves up in class off the easy win. 1-2
Race 2
We only got five runners in the first race and we get only six in this race. No. 2 Blooming Hannah gets stretched out first off the Gary Stute claim, she is on a win every other race pattern and gets a nice break in the weights. No. 4 Ipray is in top form, loves this track and distance. No. 5 Quinnette is a win machine and is also on a win every other race pattern and this is her win race. 2-4-5
Race 3
We get six 2yo 50k maiden fillies going 4-1/2 furlongs. No. 1 It’s Not So Easy is a first-time Tommy Town for Miyadi who gets Prat, her dam Big Easy has dropped 3 winners from 3 starters, after her this is anyones race and will take hitting the all button or some tote watching. 1 (all)
Race 4
Just another six horse field with 25k claimers going a flat mile. No. 3 Last One Standing gets a move up in class and a huge jockey upgrade. No. 6 Go Long drops in class and gets Kent D back on for his brother. 3-6
Race 5
THE 75K DESERT STORMER AT 6 FURLONGS
We get a field of five for the Desert Stormer. No. 4 Juno is in from Brazil for papa Mandella, she was a perfect 5 for 5 in Brazil. No. 3 Luminance comes off the layoff for Baffert and looks ready from off the hot pace. 3-4
Race 6
Another six horse field, we get 32k fillies and mares going a mile, Kent D rode No. 2 Gracie Ragazza one time and got the win, he gets back on today. No. 5 Big Break is the speed and will play catch me if you can on the big class drop. 2-5
Race 7
Wow we get seven runners (before scratches) in this race as they go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 4 Ish crushed them for the maiden breaker last out when dropped in with claimers, she becomes claim proof today off the big win and that’s a good sign. No. 5 Surfing the Menu is in top form and this distance will suit her style. 4-5
Race 8
THE 75K McCANN’S MOJAVE HANDICAP AT 1-1/16
We get five runners for the McCann’s Mojave and four of the runners exit the Avanti Bello race, a race in which he won by a nostril over No. 3 Soi Phet, the stranger in the race is No. 5 El Huerfano. 3-5
Race 9
In a card where we can find little to no value the last race ends with eight 3yo maidens ( before scratches) going six furlongs. No. 3 Hank the Tank was claimed last year by Mike Puype for 75k, he was sent off as the 5/2 favorite in that race which was his only start, it is good to see that he brings him back in a straight maiden race. No. 4 Latitude has a huge last work for this his first start. Baffert sends out first-time starter No. 6 Picture Tube who is out of the dam Zenith who has dropped 4 winners from 4 starters. 3-4-6
