No. 1 Tiz Liberty showed a lot of grit in his win here in October, he was claimed that day and it is very encouraging that he comes back in this claim proof race with Gomez riding and the move to the grass is ok, No. 5 Unusual Jazz also exits our HTW list off a good turf win. No. 8 Michael The Man comes to town from the Gate in top form and gets back on the grass. Jockey Rosario gets on No. 10 Letsgetitright for trainer Mike Mitchell and this gelding is looking for the hat trick on the grass. 1-5-8-10

Race 3

As the 3yo try and sort themselves out we start with the Grade 3 Sham Stakes, trainer Asmussen brings in No. 3 Hierro with jockey Leparoux, this one is a real up and comer, Baffert sends out the undefeated No. 4 Secret Circle who will try and get the route after three straight wins sprinting. No. 5 Longview Drive ran a good third from far back in the Delta Jackpot. 3-4-5

Race 4

No. 4 Chocolate Caliente’s best two races came here, the drop can only help his chances of going back to back, No. 8 My Little Morgan gets off the grass and drops in class she will be right behind Caliente. 4-8

Race 5

No. 5 Blue Grass Music gets a confident boost in class off the turf route win at Golden Gate, Rosario gets the mount going down the hill. No. 6 Brown Is Beige has hit the board in all four of his turf starts. No. 4 Nice Meidel ran ok in her one and only going down the hill 4-5-6

Race 6

No. 4 Consulado ran super when well bet and well meant in his one and only, he exits our HTW list and looks to be a solid play in here. No. 5 Congrats Ski finished right behind Consulado last time out and he also exits our HTW list. The stranger danger in here is the Steve Asmussen first time starter No. 8 Welter Weight with Leparoux in the irons, this well bred 3yo colt spots solid works for this. No. 11 Bobby Flay also exits our HTW list and exits the same race as the top two. 4-5-8-11

No. 4 Raven Wild looks to be getting better with every race and if able to handle the downhill turf course she will be right there, No. 10 La Sombre has a win and five seconds from six lifetime starts turf and main. No. 8 Meltarib has some long shot appeal. 4-8-10

In the Grade 2 San Pasqual Stakes No. 6 Tres Borrachos looks to be sitting on the win, we will single in the late pick four. 6

No. 2 Written Rule ran ok here back in October and now Bejarano will get his shot, No. 3 Ez Effort is a first time starter with win early breeding and his dam French Debutante has dropped four winners from four starters and trainer Kory Owens can pop with a first time starter. No. 9 Candy’s Sunrise ran super on the grass in his one and only and now will try the dirt. No. 13 Three Vases ran huge in his one and only at Del Mar in the Graduation Stakes when finishing a game second. 2-3-9-13
