No. 3 Welter Weight meet some tough ones in his first start when taking some big action, he now gets the stretchout and Nakatani. Baffert sends out two and they both are exiting our HTW list No. 7 Stirred UP a closer and No. 8 Bodemeister a speed burner. 3-7-8

No. 8 Hava Cigar also exits the race. No. 10 War Politics exits our HTW list and is the outside in this race. 2-7-8-10

No. 3 Le Mans is in from Churchill Downs for trainer Asmussen and he may like this down hill turf course, No. 4 Ten Devils ran good down the hill in his last start. No. 7 Romeo Royale was a head in back of Ten Devils in that race. 3-4-7

No. 4 Veloce Canzone is in from Gulfstream and may like it here, No. 11 Lea The Punisher comes off the layoff but finds a field loaded with early speed, she will be making a late run as will No. 13 Hout Bay. 4-11-13

Race 9

In the Grade 2 San Marcos going 1 ¼ on the grass No. 4 Sanagas is the class coming off his Grade 1 win at 1 ½ in the Hollywood Gold Cup, he has won seven of his 10 starts, No. 8 Bourbon Bay ran second in the Cup but loves it here on the Anita grass with five win and a second from six starts and a win at this distance. 4-8

Race 10

No. 6 Father Pabst gets his second start off the layoff and a drop in class and a big jockey upgrade as Cerin goes all out for the win, Art Sherman sends out first time starter No. 9 Unusual Pleasure whose dam has dropped three winners from three starters, he looks live. No. 11 Candy Sweetheart is the one to beat off his last start and he exits our HTW list. 6-9-11

No. 2 Downtown C.T. looks set for a big run, No. 3 Nonios is a first time starter for Hollendorfer with Baze riding and No. 6 Germany Bay is another first time starter and the stablemate of Nonios. 2-3-6

Hollendorfer looks to have this race in the bag has he sends out No. 5 Sweet Nothings with Gryder and No. 6 Via Villaggio with Baze. 5-6

No. 5 Miss Distance Just broke her maiden at this mile distance and may be able to repeat at a price. 5

No. 1 Silverport takes the big drop and gets Gryder, No. 7 Justalittleloopy has some win early breeding as does No. 8 You Know Me. 1-7-8

No. 2 Red Dog had the feel of the track off the layoff, he gets a high percentage jockey for this and looks to be sitting on his best, No. 4 Pat’s Paradise gets his third start off the layoff and is the one to beat. No. 8 G Ten ships in from Santa Anita drops and gets Baze.
