No. 11 Zanbo ran big in her one and only on the Hollywood 6 furlong turf course and No. 12 Best Present Ever ran big in her one try going down the hill. 6-10-11-12

No. 4 Battle Lou is in from the Gate and gets a turn back in distance and Martin Garcia, No. 7 Blake ran an even race in his first off the layoff and will be right there. 4-7

In the Grade 1 Santa Anita Oaks Baffert who we hope is a ok sends out the speedy No. 1 Eden’s Moon fresh off a wire- to-wire effort last time out, No. 5 Conjure The Spirit just broke her maiden but she is the only filly in here proven at this 1 1/16 distance, if the others get into a speed duel she will be picking up the pieces. 1-5

No. 2 Star Nicholas just missed last time out first off the claim, he will be flying late, No. 3 Nofty gets his second start off the layoff and he gets back on the grass, this one looks primed for a big run today. 2-3

Race 6

No. 2 Howmuchisit gets off the grass and takes a big dip in class, the sharp John Martin ships in No. 4 Bell Zone off the claim. No. 7 Square Deal is perfectly spotted off the little layoff and the small drop in class. Mike Mitchell sends out the likely chalk in No. 11 Hidden Blessing, bet him to cash. 2-7-11

No. 3 Miss Communication has burned some cash in her last two starts and now will try a flat mile on the grass, No. 5 Sabouli is a solid fit with these and the price may be ok. No. 6 English Puddin is bred in the purple for the grass as her sire English Channel has been doing great with turf runners, she comes off a long layoff and shows up for an unknown trainer. This is one tough race tread carefully as there are several who can win this. 3-5-6

No. 2 Starry Skies exits our HTW list off a nice maiden breaker on the grass, she will now try the dirt against much tougher, No. 6 Starlight Magic looks very live off the layoff. 2-6

Race 9

No. 4 Matto Mondo continues his descent down the ladder as something bad must have happened, he does like this course but would not take a short price as it looks like Asmussen is trying to dump him, No. 5 Stoneside gets his second start off the layoff and is the one to beat with the drop in class. 4-5**

In the 200k Echo Eddie Stakes going 6½ furlongs on the dirt, No. 3 G’night exits our HTW list off a big win on the grass despite trouble, No. 4 Pulpit’s Express has won his last two starts on the front end but will need to contend with No. 8 Coach Bob and No. 9 Three Vases both of whom have big early speed as does comebacker No. 10 A Toast To You and the Baffert runner No. 11 Derby Gold. With that said we will take our shot with the best closer in the race No. 13 The Black with Gomez who will just sit and pounce down the lane. 13

No. 6 Dugan Bill looks live off the layoff, No. 9 Kingman Kid gets the hard riding Hernandez. 6-9

No. 4 Quick Enough will try and turn the tables on No. 3 Restless Youth. No. 5 Gutshot Straight looked good winning here in his first try after shipping in. 3-4-5
