In the 100k Cal Dreamin’ jockey Gomez gets back on No. 2 Holladay Road and he has won on this gelding 3 times. No. 3 Norvsky just got beat a nostril in his last race and he won this race last year. No. 4 Liberian Freighter will like the lesser competition today. 2-3-4

Race 4

No. 3 Shediak’s last two wins came here last year. The red hot John Sadler sends out No. 5 Stacy’s Hope first off the claim and No. 6 Privilaged who will get the jump on the rest turning for home. No. 8 Drift King gets his first start off the Mike Mitchell claim and he is looking for his third straight win. 3-5-6-8

No. 6 Special Kid with Mike Smith in the irons has the speed to be the major player with these. No. 8 Huntingman exits our HTW list and gets his first start off the Sadler claim, and he moves him right to the grass. No. 9 Scorpion Time also has big early speed and will be part of the early pace battle. 6-8-9

We now have 2yo maiden fillies and for some reason Baffert only has one entry No. 2 Wild One with Bejarano riding and they have been on fire together. No. 8 Suncadia exits our HTW list and we like the jockey change to the hustling Edwin Maldonado as she goes from turf to the poly. 2-8

Race 7

No. 2 Brigand is back from Belmont and will be tough with this lesser company. His stablemate No. 8 Jaycito has never lived up to his hype but fits with these. 2-8

THE GRADE 2 SAN CLEMENTE 

Jockey Gomez will sit off the hot pace with No. 5 Byrama and mow them down in the lane. Neil Drysdale sends out the stranger danger with No. 7 Morocco Moon who is in from over the pond where she was never off the board in four starts winning two. 5-7

Baffert sends out two in this maiden race, No. 1 Bernster off the layoff and Martin Garcia finally gets a ride for his old boss, maybe the make up. He also sends out the speedy No. 9 The Brain who exits our HTW list and his new main man Bejarano is on. No. 4 Scorpion Warrior also come off the layoff and he was .40 cents on the dollar in his last race at Hollywood back on July 3rd when he ran a game second behind Ill Have Another. 1-4-9

No. 6 Silver Timber likes this turf course and this 9yo still has some run in him. He will find a fast early pace to make his late run. 6

No. 11 Current Design was the beaten chalk in his last start and now drops into a maiden claimer. He looks like a short price winner. 11

No. 6 Bunhead showed a new dimension in her last start. No. 7 Hey Little Girl and No. 8 Madame Johar also fit in here. 6-7-8

No. 5 Reach for a Peach looks solid in here second off the layoff and Ramon gets back on. No. 1 Bakin’ With Cindy will get a great rail trip. 1-5

THE GRADE 2 SANFORD

No. 1 Handsome Jack has a solid 4 furlong work here for this race. Todd Pletcher sends out the main two with No. 5 Rose Junction and No. 8 Onetwentyeight. 1-5-8
