Trainer Miyadi sends out first time starter No. 4 Tanya Marie with Juan Hernandez riding. A.C. Avilia popped with a 20-1 shot on Wednesday and he sends out first time starter No. 6 Boller Bomb who has a real nice 5 furlong drill. 4-6

A.C. Avilia drops No. 1 God Of War to the bottom and takes blinkers off. He has a similar work pattern as his winner on Wednesday. No. 9 Cheezy Breezy has had his chances but he just may take to the breezy ocean air. No. 5 Nearly Was Mine gets Espinoza back on and he has been close in the past. 1-5-9

The red hot Doug O’Neill sends out No. 4 Koko Loca who looks live in this spot. No. 10 Babe Included gets off the grass and gets a break in the weights in this her third start for Julio Canani. The connections of No. 8 Zafeen’s Pearl thought she could run as the put here in a Grade 1 in her first start in the US, she did finish third. 4-8-10

THE GRADE 2 SAN DIEGO

No. 1 Kettle Corn gets the Rail and has the red hot Gomez riding back and this his is best distance. No. 4 John Scott has won four of his six starts including going two for two here. Bob Baffert gives the undefeated No. 5 Take Control the acid test. 1-4-5

No. 2 Mahogany Ridge exits our HTW list and gets his first start off the Peter Miller claim. No. 7 Forever Freedom comes off the layoff for Mike Mitchell. No. 9 Royal Meridian gets a new trainer and goes from the grass to the main and gets a turn back in distance. 2-7-9

Race 10

We finish the day with statebred straight maidens going 1 1/16 on the grass. No. 5 Sizzlin’ Joe ran ok in his one and only try on the grass. No. 7 Unusual Beam may be ready to fire his best shot in this his second start off the layoff. No. 8 Jaco Red is the stablemate of Joe and he gets a big jockey switch. No. 9 Affrettando almost got there last time out. No. 2 Jolly Joseph showed good speed in his two turf starts and now Maldonado takes the ride. 2-5-7-8-9

No. 1 Sumo gets a big move up in class off the layoff and Rosie sticks. No. 9 Raison d’Etat will be the one to fear late. 1-9

No. 1 Honorable Dillon is a live first time starter whose dam has dropped four winners from four starters including a stakes winner. No. 4 Gulfport ran good in his one and only at CD. No. 7 Simon Eyes could not handle the runaway winner in his first start. 1-4-7

The turf course has been hard as a rock and barring any rain it will stay that way favoring speed. No. 4 Star Torina went back to back here last year almost a year to the day and almost won again on the inner turf in her next start. Trainer Graham Motion brings in the speedy No. 7 Onepointhreekarats. No. 8 Pianist missed by a nostril here last year and won in her first start this year. Rosario gets on the speedy comebacker No. 10 Assateague for trainer Mike Matz. This filly has been working like she wants to run. 4-7-8-10

No. 2 Princess Jenny gets the ultra hot Dominguez in the irons. No. 5 Subtle has speed and gets Rosario. No. 10 Thescreenisred ran good in her one turf sprint and will be the one to fear late. 2-5-10

Race 9

THE GRADE 1 DIANA

No. 1 Tapitsfly likes this turf course and will get a great rail trip. Dominguez who has been on Tapitsfly now moves to No. 3 Zagora who won this race last year. No. 5 Winter Memories just ran 2nd behind Tapitsfly as the even money chalk. 1-3-5

Race 10

THE GRADE 2 JIM DANDY

Dominguez gets back on No. 1 Alpha who broke his maiden here last year for fun. Bob Baffert ships in No. 7 Liaison off of back to back narrow losses. No. 8 Prospective looks like a real up and comer as he comes off big wins in the Ohio Derby and the Victory Park. J R will ride. 1-7-8

Race 11

There is speed speed and more speed in this race. Lets take our shot with two that will sit off the hot pace, No. 7 Synthesizer and No. 8 Kathy’s Kitten. 7-8
