No. 2 Back to Bako exits our HTW list off a narrow loss at Del Mar in his first start. No. 7 Gallant Charm gets a better post and jockey for this his second start. Look for a big effort. 2-7

No. 6 Cat Meeting is in top form and has had four works here at Santa Anita. Rosario is in town and he gets on the Marty Jones stretchout horse No. 9 Mr. Ornery. 6-9

Race 4

No. 3 Another Flashback is back with Maidens and reunited with Rosario who just missed with her one race back. No. 5 Tiz a Kiss looks live at first asking for Sadler. The speedy No. 8 Sophie’s Secret is the stablemat of Tiz a Kiss and is the one to beat. 3-5-8

No. 4 Monument went 5 ½ furlongs in his first start and won then went 6 furlongs in his 3rd start and won and then Sadler sent him 7 furlongs in his 3rd start at Fairplex and he finished second and now he goes 1 1/16 and will be right there. Rosario will ride his stablemate No. 6 Ballard Ruler. 4-6

We go down the hill in the Distaff and No. 1 Tiz Flirtatious who has won 3 of her 4 starts will try the grass for the first time. Trainer Lloyd Mason makes a rare ship in with the very consistent No. 9 Bleach Blonde and the very capable Julien Couton comes in to ride. No. 10 Best Present Ever has been gearing up for this race and is coming off two Grade 1 races and Russell Baze who rode her one time for the win is in town for the ride. No. 11 Unusual Hottie is in tip top form and will be making a late run. 1-9-10-11

Race 7


No. 4 Night Wind could be a very good price play. He has been looking for a spot and Sadler chose this one. He has been working like he is ready to roll. No. 7 Ain’t No. Other is in good form and Bejarano gets the leg up for Jerry Hollendorfer. No. 8 Shudacudawudya has won 9 of his 18 starts and can handle these. No. 9 Derby Gold has a win and a second in his two starts on this course and is loaded with bullets for Baffert. 4-7-8-9

Race 8

In this 100k downhill turf sprint for the girls No. 10 Sugarinthemorning looks to have found a good spot for the win and we will single in the late pick four. 10

Race 9

The 175k Lava Man Cal Cup Classic

No. 7 John Scott has done little wrong since coming back to the races and trainer Carla Gaines has him set for a big race as jockey Espinoza looks to break his losing streak. No. 3 Rousing Sermon will be picking up the pieces late. 3-7

We get 2yo fillies going 1 1/16 on the dirt and we have ten 2yo fillies who have never been beyond 7 furlongs with 4 of the still maidens including No. 10 Graduator who exits our HTW list off a nostril loss in her last start at 7 furlongs when losing the bob to No. 7 Sacred Delight. We will take our shot with the Graduator and single in the late pick four. After her you need to hit the all button. 10 (all)
