In this mile turf race No. 3 Tiz a Minister ran a good one in the 200k King Glorious in his last start when exiting our HTW list. His one turf route was a good one here at this mile distance back in October when finishing a fast closing second despite trouble. 3
Win and place 3
There is a ton of early speed in this 6 furlong sprint and it could set things up for a price on either No. 5 J and S Express or No. 3 Magic Mama. 3-5
No. 3 Parliamentarian comes off a year on the shelf but it is a good sign that trainer Bruce Headley keeps him in straight maiden company. No. 6 Valley of Kings has good early speed and showed he likes the dirt at the Fair Grounds. 3-6
No. 4 Half Dome Dude looked good winning here last time out when exiting our HTW list. He gets a confident boast in class first off the claim. No. 5 Bet On Victor will be very tough in here with the drop to this level and Maldo sticks. No. 6 Max Cooper takes a slight drop in class, has speed and a good last work. 4-5-6
Exacta box 4-5-6
Down the hill we go, the very sturdy No. 4 Toomanytomatoes owns a win sprinting on the 6 furlong Hollywood turf course and may like going down the hill. She just blitzed in a 4 furlong work on Jan 6th when best of 48. No. 6 Blushing Martha won her last start on the 6 furlong Hollywood turf course and ran a game 4th here, the race before, going down the hill. No. 10 Belle Passe is 2 for 2 going down the hill. 4-6-10
Trainer Marty Jones sends out two in here, No. 4 Bert’s Altarcation who gets back to 5 ½ furlongs the distance of her win and No. 5 Tribal Custom a speedball looking for her third straight win. 4-5
In the feature we go a flat mile on the grass. No. 1 Key Decision has been working with a purpose for this race and is the speed on the rail with the speed jock Maldonado getting the leg up. No. 3 Clubhouse Ride and No. 5 Willyconker will be making late runs. 3-5-7
Maldonado will try and take both ends of the late double with dropper No. 2 Mending Wall. No. 6 Lady Shazzam exits the same race. 2-6
No. 2 Evasive Charmer moves back to a sprint and will be flying late as will No. 3 Voltarra. 2-3
This one is scheduled to be run at a mile on the grass. If it stays on the grass, No. 3 Picture Perfect who is looking for her fourth straight turf win back to back will be the one to beat again. No. 5 Granite Girl will be the one to fear late as she moves back up in class off a good win on the grass. 3-5
No. 4 Take That and No. 6 Trappers Sonnet are the main two in here as the race looks very chalky so far.
Another scheduled to go a mile on the grass. No. 1 What’s Up drops looking for her level here in the states. No. 2 Gamblin Miss owns a win on the mile turf course. No. 5 Atticus’ Ghost moves up off the claim but shows a good work. No. 6 Love Mobile is 2 for 3 on this mile turf course and is the one to beat. 1-2-5-6
Key tri 6 with 1-2-5 with 1-2-5
5k 4yo and up filly and mare maidens. Trainer Ryan Kenney has started 3 runners at the meet and has a win and two seconds and he sends out first time starter No. 1 Night Mussell a must use. Ted West ships in No. 5 Ramona’s Ride who takes the huge drop in class as he tries to get the win and unload this 4yo filly who must have some big issues. The same can be said about No. 6 Bwanadada who also ships in and takes the huge drop but lands in the barn of Steven Miyadi who pops with this kind and she is the one to beat. 1-5-6
Key Q 6 with 1-5
This one is scheduled to be run at 1 1/16 on the grass. No. 2 Sir Al gets his first start off the John Martin claim and Martin hits at around 40% first off the claim. We will single in the late pick four. 2
Maiden 3yo fillies sprinting 5 ½ furlongs. In reality with all the first time starters in here you need to hit the all button. So all is the play or we will side with 3rd time starter No. 4 Dangerous Affair who ran a good second last time out and this jockey/trainer combo has clicked with two of four starters. No. 6 Papaslilprincess was sent off at .70 cents on the dollar in her first start but hesitated and broke last. She did run on for the show dough and will go better today if she breaks clean. 4-6 or hit the all button.
No. 1 I Love Paris got beat by a nostril in her first start on the course when shipping in from Hollywood. She will be very hard to beat today at this level. No. 2 Gray Madam broke slow and was steadied last time out. She gets a new jock who will be hustling her out of the gate. No. 5 Giannonatti is a second time starter who exits the same race as the top two and looks to be the speed of the speed. No. 6 Une Amour drops into a maiden claimer for the first time and will be making a late run. 1-2-5-6
