SANTA ANITA

Race 1

No. 4 Won Won Oh Five exits our HTW list and gets a little boast in class of a narrow loss as he follows No. 6 Tiz Dynamic up the ladder. 4-6

Exacta box 4-6 and win on the 4

Race 2

Pedroza gets back on No. 3 Congregationalist who was tried with winners last time out. He gets back with 40k maiden claimers. No. 6 Prime Number gets a new jock and is the one to beat. No. 7 Ezio is a first time starter out of the hot John Shirreffs barn and Joe Talamo who has two wins from two rides for this barn will ride. 3-6-7

Exacta box 3-6-7

Double

1st 4-6

2nd 3-6-7

Race 3

3yo maiden fillies go down the hill and that can get real dicey. No. 2 Kyriaki is sired by Scat Daddy so she will like the green. No. 3 Perfectamente ran a better than looked race going 6 furlongs on the Hollywood grass back in November. No. 4 Hard Rockin Girl also has the breeding to like this course. No. 6 Charm Catcher exits our HTW list off a solid effort first time out going 6 furlongs on the Hollywood turf course finishing a solid second after bobbling at the start. No. 9 What a Spot is a first time starter for trainer Tom Proctor and he puts the hot riding Gomez on and this filly is really bred to turf. We will key on her in the exacta’s. 2-3-4-6-9

Key exacta box 9 with 2-3-4-6

Race 4

No. 5 Twirlybird broke her maiden here by more than 4 lengths and now gets her first start off the Jack Carava claim. No. 6 Sugar Spice has big early speed and comes off a nice maiden win here. No. 8 Lake Osceola looks like a nice price play as she takes the blinkers off and ran good here at this 5 ½ furlong distance. She will be making a late run if the bug boy Vinnie Bednar can keep her clear. 5-6-8

Race 5

25k fillies and mares go a flat mile on the grass in this non winners of two. No. 5 Valeria just missed here at this distance and level last time out. No. 6 Miss Communication was a nose in front of Valeria and may have been best but had no room till it was too late.5-6

Race 6

There are several girls coming off extended layoffs in this race which really makes it very difficult to handicap so tread lightly in this one. The undefeated No. 3 Ismene hasn’t seen the starter since she was winning 3 straight as a 2yo. She has some very good works for this and Mike Smith who is looking down the road takes the ride. No. 1 Shumoos is another who has been out of action since she was a 2yo and she won a Grade 1 over the pond and finished second in the BC Juvenile sprint back in 2011 her last start. 1-3

Race 7

In the feature today we have fillies and mares going a mile on the grass baring any rain. No. 4 Mary Fileds has been looking for a grass race and exits our HTW list. No. 5 Miss Well Molded has two wins and two seconds in her last four turf races all with Mike Smith riding. Gary Stevens rides for his buddy Tom Proctor on No. 9 Belle de Luna in this her second off the layoff. 4-5-9

Race 8

In the last race today we get 30k maiden 3yo fillies going 7 furlongs. No. 10 Nonna Reese exits our HTW list and will like the extra half a furlong. No. 1 Huera Bonita exits the same race. She ran third and Nonna fan a fast closing second. Interesting that Gary Stevens takes the mount in the last race on No. 9 Warren’s Fantasy for the low profile Henry Moreno. No. 11 Sharp Bella gets a drop in class and is a must use in here. 1-9-10-11

Tri box 1-9-10-11

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 1 Lucky to Stay Home comes off a nice maiden win for a trainer who hits at around 40% with repeat winners. We must use the other lucky filly in here, No. 3 Lucky At Midnight gets off the grass. No. 4 Supercilious ships in from Santa Anita after breaking her maiden for 30k and now Jerry Hollendorfer puts her in this $12,500 claimer with Baze riding? 1-3-4

Race 2

No. 2 Flammability drops into a maiden claimer off a fairly good finish last time out. No. 3 Street Consensus may end up being the speed in here. 2-3

Race 3

No. 1 Daitanna ran ok when stretched out to a mile on the grass last time out and now she is back on the synthetic. The same can be said for No. 2 Egyptian Femme who exits the same race and she gets the hot riding Kyle Frey. No. 5 Pawn Shop also exits the race and is the filly to beat. 1-2-5

Race 4

No. 5 Victoriously Jewel looked good winning off the layoff and may pop here at a price. 5

Race 5

No. 6 Bi Tomorrow looks perfectly spotted off the maiden breaker. No. 7 Layover in Seattle and No. 8 All the Magic both drop into action spots. 6-7-8

Exacta and tri box 6-7-8

Race 6

No. 1 Ramble on Rose has three good races here. The last time R Baze rode No. 2 Finish Rich in Nyc he got the win. 1-2

Race 7

No. 1 Loveintheshadows is in top form. No. 6 Love Mobile drops to a level that will make her very tough. 1-6

Double

6th 1-2

7th 1-6

Race 8

No. 2 Cataleya did not fit with straight maidens in her first start and is now where she belongs. No. 6 Intriguing ran good when dropped to this level last time out and gets the perfect post. 2-6

Pick four

5th 6-7-8
