No. 2 Ethnic Dance comes off the layoff for Sadler who stretches him out. No. 8 Storm Fighter goes long for the first time in this his third start, he will gain a good position with his speed. 1-2-4-8

Race 2

Now we get maiden fillies going 1 1/8 on the grass as they try and juice up the pick five. No. 5 Kyriaki will try to take her speed long and on the grass in this her second start but she does get Bejarano and her sire Scatt Daddy has had success with his young horses on the grass. No. 6 Wednesday almost took them wire-to-wire in her first try going long on the grass last time out and had some real nice works since. No. 9 Foxy Boss woke up big time in her last start and will be sitting behind the speed waiting to pounce down the lane. 5-6-9

Race 3

We get older horses going a flat mile for a claiming price of $12,500. No. 4 Visigodo looked good winning here last time out at this mile distance and now Gomez takes over, he will be tagging all the tiring speed down the lane, we will take our shot and single. 4

Race 5

Now to makes things even tougher we go down the hill in the 75k Baffle Stakes, No. 3 Amarish has been moved to the barn of Steve Asmussen, he finds much softer here and is bred for this trip on the grass. No. 5 Procurement won his last start going down the hill and he will be flying late. No. 9 Caught Napping has been off since running a close third in the Oak Tree juvenile turf vs. some good ones, he gets the perfect draw for this. 3-5-9

THE GRADE 1 LAS VIRGENES

The likely chalk in here No. 5 Beholder will need to contend with some other speed, with her class she will most likely put that other speed away but will she have enough left to win? If not No. 6 Scarlet Strike will be trying to run her down. 5-6

Race 7

In this mile turf race No. 2 You Know I Know will be making a big late run as will No. 7 Power Foot. No. 11 Arraignment will fall into a good stalking position. 2-7-11

Race 10

THE GRADE 1 SANTA ANITA HANDICAP 1¼ ON THE DIRT

No. 1 Ron the Greek won this race last year but he will need to be at his best if he wants to beat No. 9 Game on Dude who owns 6 wins from 7 starts here. The upsetter could be No. 10 Guilt Trip who won the Grade 2 Strub last time out when exiting our HTW list. 1-9-10

Race 11

We end this exhausting day with maiden 3-year-old going 6½ furlongs. Sadler sends out 3rd time starter No. 1 Bench Press off some real good works. No. 8 Pearloftheorient is in top form and is a must use. 2-3-5-8
