No. 1 Spit Ball has gotten real good as he looks for his fourth straight win, he will fall into a good staking position right behind No. 6 Bluegrass Reward who is also looking for his fourth straight win. 1-6

No. 1 Mr. Candy Bar comes off a good win here at this mile turf distance and this trainer can win with the drop off the win. Baffert drops No. 2 Midnight Crooner from graded stakes company into this 25k claimer; all is not good but this one will win if he has three legs. No. 3 Golden Mexico will be playing catch me if you can. 1-2-3

No. 3 Warren’s Parolee moves back into a sprint and this jockey-trainer combo have been doing very good. No. 6 Unmarked Bills looks to be sitting on the win and maybe this 6½ furlongs will be the answer.

Down the hill we go in the feature. No. 2 Horizon Sky had his race and is the one to beat. No. 5 Greeley Awesome will find a fast early pace and he will be picking up the pieces late. 2-5

This one is ripe for a big price but who will be making that late run? No. 5 Shadow Hall did not run all that bad in his one and only and gets blinkers on today for this 5 furlong sprint. 5


Race 1

We start our usual 7 horse program today with a mile race. No. 1 Dangerous Affair will be the short price chalk with Baze riding for Hollendorfer. No. 3 Egyptian Femme beat the top one by a neck last time but probably not today with the other Hollendorfer runner No. 4 Wild Excess keeping her company up front to set things up for Baze. 1

Race 2

Baze will try and take down the early double with No. 4 Romance Is Sosa who gets the stretch out. No. 3 Rockport’s Song will be making a late run at him 3-4

Race 3

We go a 1 1/16 on the grass if this stays on the green and if it does trainer Neil Drysdale brings in first time starter No. 2 Point and Shoot who is bred to love the green. No. 3 The Alameda Kid is also bred for the green as he gets his fourth start and first on the grass. No. 7 Ackman ran two times on the grass at Santa Anita and both were decent efforts. 2-3-7

In the last race we go a mile on the grass if the weather is fine. No. 4 So Elite is in from Santa Anita and looks to have found a good spot if he can sit off the hot pace. No. 6 Outdoorsman Gene is on a win every other race pattern and this is his win race as he will sit back and make one late run. 4-6
