HOLLYWOOD PARK

Race 1

The question in this race is, who will go to the front? Maybe No. 2 Coloursoftheglen who at one time had good early speed up at the Gate or, and there is no or, its Glen with the front end and the hot horse at the claiming box No. 3 Beer Meister who won for fun here in his last start for 8k at this distance. 2-3

Race 2

This 5½ furlong sprint has plenty of early speed signed on and that could set things up for either No. 2 King Bill or No. 7 Smoking G. 2-7

Race 3

This is one tough 6 furlong sprint for 50k maiden fillies and mares especially when No. 9 Miranda Rose comes in from the recently closed Golden Gate meet with six losses under her belt looking best. After her it could be one of the first time starters No. 1 Chumash, No. 5 Soothe My Soul and No.  8 Journey On.

1-5-8-9

Race 4

First time starter No. 1 Awesome Dude is working like a runner for Baffert who sends him 1-1/16 in his first try and that is a hard way to start your career. No. 3 Artic North is another firster who goes long off some nice works. No. 6 Blue Tone has run back to back good races and gets Bejarano. No. 7 Corinthian’s Song has been going long on the grass and will be the one coming to run them down. 1-3-6-7

Race 5

The last time that Bejarano got on No. 3 Queen Mercury he got the win, this filly will be sitting chilly from the bell. No. 6 Promiscuoussuances may be the speed of the speed with the drop back to this level. 3-6

Exacta box 3-6 and win and place 3

Race 6

No. 1 Justa Runner is exacta that, this Indian Charlie second time starter was hammered at the betting windows in his first start to .50 cents on the dollar but had to settle for second losing the bob. He will be odds on again today and I just don’t see him getting beat again today but if anyone can beat him No. 3 Proven Warrior who has finished second in both of his starts at the meet including second by a nose in his last at .70 cents on the dollar can. Baffert who sends out Justa Runner also sends out the fast working first time starter No. 5 Tryfan who just blazed a 5 furlong work best of 56 coming home in :59 flat, wow! No. 9 Kill Shot ran big in his one and only and was well backed going off at 5/2 his last work  going 6 furlongs in 1:11.4 was a pip. This race may be more than it looks on the surface. 1-3-5-9

Race 7

They go a mile on the grass and speed was holding last week on this rock hard turf course. No. 1 Pulpit’s Express will gunning from the bell and he took them wire-to-wire one race back and then lost on the line first off the Sadler claim in his last start. No. 3 Turn on the Pumps was one of three on the line finishing second when nailing Pulpit’s Express for the place money. 1-3

Race 8

No. 1 She’s Holy ran an even race going 4½ furlong in her first start we look for much better today with Gomez getting the call. No. 9 Daylightfully showed good early speed in her second start and will hold better today. 1-9

Pick four

5th 3-6

6th 1-3-5-9

7th 1-3

8th 1-9
