Bejarano rides the sneaky looking No. 4 Little Bit Cactus who is in from Turf Paradise and lands in the barn of Jeff Mullins looking for some of that shipper money, No. 1 Cravin’ the Heat drops into a dangerous spot. 1-4

Race 3

Gary Stevens rides No. 4 Langfurs Lightning for trainer David Hofmans, No. 5 Spring Up just won here on the 17th when breaking his maiden for 20k, he gets his first start off the Sadler Claim and it is a good sign that Sadler places him in this claim proof starter allowance race. No. 6 Awesome Address also becomes claim proof off the maiden breaker when he went wire-to-wire going 1-1/16 at Hollywood in his last start. No. 7 Magnum Force will be making a late run. 4-5-6-7

Race 4

Trainer Bill Spawr claimed No. 2 Hurry Home Clover for 25k back in June and now he brings him back in this spot for 16k, that is not a good sign but he finds little to beat and has some good early speed, the one time he went a flat mile was back in 2011 when he went wire-to-wire on this course, Sadler drops No. 7 Chico Suerte in class and sends him long. No. 8 Prime Number has been hanging down the stretch, he gets a top jock today first off the Autrey claim and looks the one to beat. No. 9 Almost Better has gotten much better since being stretched out with a win and a close second. No. 10 Jay’s Firetruck don’t like to win but will be there late and is the stablemate of Chico. 2-7-8-9-10

No. 3 Little Professor was sent long in his first start, he had trouble and has a blazing work since, No. 4 Volkonsky has finished second in all three of his starts and all at 2-1, he will be that or less once again. Jockey Bejarano takes over on No. 5 Red Globe for trainer Neil Drysdale. No. 9 Brave Act has big early speed and exits the same race as the Little Professor and the Volkswagon. 3-4-5-9

Early speed has been the key here at Del Mar and No. 3 Indian Classic fits the bill, the one time No. 5 Relentless Heat ran at this level he got the win. No. 7 Ballard Ruler comes off the layoff for Sadler and looks ready to roll off of that 6 furlong 1:12.1 work here on the 25th. Bejarano rides No. 8 Morning Fog for Bill Morey, this 5yo gelding has won five of his 12 starts. 3-5-7-8

No. 2 Solid Wager may have been best in the Hollywood Juvenile but had to be steadied and then came four wide into the lane losing by a dwindling 3/4 of a length, trainer Jerry Hollendorfer sends out first-time starter No. 5 Testify Under Oath and he is no dummy. No. 8 Willie B Awesome was right on the line with Solid Wager. 2-5-8

In the last leg of the pick four No. 2 Party Bus gets a new jock and finds a good spot to get the win at a price, No. 3 Huera Bonita just missed last time out when exiting our HTW list. No. 6 Margies Rule looks to be coming around. Trainer Peter Miller is great when bringing a horse back of a layoff and brings back dropped No. 8 Athina Lee off of a year on the shelf. No. 11 And She Was showed some early speed off the layoff last time out and will go better today at this level. 2-3-8-11

This course has been all about inside speed and No. 1 No Better Terms is the inside speed and will be odds on, No. 6 Lady Fifty Two ran right behind Terms last out and will like the extra 1/2 furlong. 1-6

25k maiden claimers go a flat mile on the grass, No. 7 Pepper Crown gets stretched out on the grass in this his second start, he may like it and the price will be right, No. 10 Dr Williams ran a solid second in his first try on the grass in his last race. 7-10

No. 2 Tanner’s Quest is the speed on the inside as is No. 3 Ancient Artifact and No. 4 Princess Nayiri. 2-3-4

No. 1 Prestige Worldwide becomes claimproof off the nice turf win in his last start, we think he will win again. 1
