Thursday, November 7th (opening day and the last meet forever at Hollywood Park as the wrecking ball will be tearing it all down, very sad!!!).

HOLLYOOD PARK

Race 1

The hot riding Edwin Maldonado gets on No. 1 Ransom Canyon who gets his first start off the Peter Miller claim. He will try the synthetic surface for the first time. No. 4 Copper Bay gets his third start since being claimed by Mike Mitchell, he also gets off the grass for the first time. 1-4

Race 2

No. 1 Hear the Ghost starts his comeback. He was being considered for the Kentucky Derby this year but suffered an injury. He broke his maiden on this course and trainer Jerry Hollendorfer looks to have him spotted in an easy spot. No. 3 Ready for More is out of the Mike Puype barn and a barn to keep an eye on this meet. No. 4 Atta Boy Pete will be part of the early pace and is the stablemate of Hear the Ghost.

1-3-4

Double

1st 1-4

2nd 1-3-4

Race 3

No. 4 Sidepocket Champ will try to take his big early speed long on the grass. No. 9 Prospector’s Trick sprinted going down the hill in his last two starts and now goes long and gets Bejarano. No. 12 Rob’s Pal lost by a nose going a mile on this turf course last November and the hard trying good turf rider Sutherland gets the call. 4-9-12

Race 4

This race is really wide open and could set off a huge pick five. We will opt for No. 2 Too Obvious who moves into a maiden claimer for the first time, No. 5 Jogget who will show more speed at this level in this her second start with the bug boy getting on and No. 8 Tribal Yodeler a Swiss Yodeler first time starter.

2-5-8

Race 5

No. 1 Madoffwiththemoney exits our HTW list off solid efforts in her last two starts, this will be her first start off the O’Neill claim. No. 10 Sleep Tight has won 3 of her 8 starts on this 6 furlong turf course. No. 11 Kilted Tilt will be winging it from her far outside post, if she can clear she will be very dangerous. 4-10-11

Race 6

The horse we like in this race is No. 8 Majestic Moment who broke slow in his last start but still rallied to be a close third beaten by No. 9 Tuckers Point with No. 6 Unusual Jazz a nose behind Tucker. We will box all three and play Majestic Moment win and place. 6-8-9

Exacta box 6-8-9 and win and place 8

Race 7

No. 3 Level Headed won in her only start on this turf course and she gets the rejuvenated Mike Smith in the irons. No. 8 Miss Well Molded gets her first start off the big win and the O’Neill claim. 3-8

Race 8

No. 3 Harlan’s Trick has big price written all over her. No. 4 Full of Spice exits the same race as Harlan and gets the underrated Saul Arias in the irons, don’t worry Arias can ride. No. 10 Amanda and No. 12 Katey Pie will be the likely favorites and both ran together last time out. 3-4-10-12

Tri box 3-4-10-12

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 1 Gamblin Miss is tin top form. She has hit the board in 7 of her 10 starts here without a win and may be overbet, if so we will use No. 4 Bluegrass Story who always give her best. 1-4

Race 2

No. 3 Piano Kitty drops trying to cash. No. 4 Cherry On the Cake has found a home here at the gate winning both of her starts since coming here from Del Mar. 3-4

Double

1st 1-4

2nd 3-4

Race 3

This race is impossible and you will need to hit the all button. PASS

Race 4

We will take our shot with No. 5 Always My Love as a single. She ran her last race at Fresno and the Fresno runners have been doing great here. The drop to this level should get her home. 5

Win and place 5

Race 5

No. 1 Free Money lost at even money in her first start for Hollendorfer who now sends her long on the grass. She loses Baze who moves to the Steve Sherman runner No. 2 When I’m Calling U, we will use both. 1-2

Race 6

No. 3 Lu’s Lalabye is in from Fairplex and takes a huge drop in class, he lands in a top barn and that is a good sign. No. 4 Life No Parole is a very live first time starter for trainer Miyadi for Tommy Town Thoroughbreds. 3-4

Race 7

No. 1 Rockin’ Melody likes the turf course and will get a good rail trip. No. 4 Big Jim gets Baze back on and he has won two of the three times that he rode this gelding. 1-4
