HOLLYWOOD PARK

Race 1

No. 7 He’s Not Bluffin is in from Emerald Downs for trainer Vann Belvoir and is on a three race win streak, he just won the Jim Beam up there when Chantal went up for the ride and she is back on this 3yo gelding today. 7

Race 2

No. 1 Blue Collar Boy battled it out on the front end last time out going a mile and refused to quit finishing a very game second by a ½ length, No. 8 As Good as Gold will be dangerous with the drop to this level. 1-8

Race 3

THE 100K CAT’S CRADLE

It would only befitting of this race if No. 2 Curvy Cat would win and she does have a shot as she did win the B Thoughtful here back in April at this same 7-1/2 furlong distance, bet her to cash. 2

Race 4

First-time starter 2yo No. 5 Super Reagan has been working here for a long time and looks set for a big run first out of the box, both No. 7 Fourth Generation and No. 8 This Cat’s Awesome also have been working here for a while. 5-7-8

Race 5

No. 4 Holy Candy has run good here and sports a real nice 6 furlong work on the 10th, No. 7 Curly Top has been a big disappointment for Baffert but finds a nice spot here and has hit the board here at Hollywood in all four of his starts with three seconds and a third. 4-7

Race 6

No. 5 Mia Luccia showed good early speed in her first start and will hold better today even at this longer distance, No. 6 Papa’s Dancing ran a nice even race in her first start and will improve at what will be a good price. No. 9 Yana looks to be a solid single off her race, if she can handle this cushion surface, if so she wins albeit at a short price. 5-6-9**

Exacta box 5-6-9 and single the 9 in the picks.

Race 7

No. 2 Uncle Dick has run some good turf races and exits a key race, No. 3 Brother Pete likes this turf course and is the key player in here with the hot riding Bejarano. No. 4 Somethings Unusual is back at his favorite track and will be making a late run. No. 8 Empty Headed is in top form and will be right there at the wire. 3 with 2-4-8

Race 8

No. 5 Moscato Girl ran big in her one and only and only needs to improve a little to beat these, she exits the same race as No. 7 Global Hottie who finished second at .50 cents on the dollar, she will be odds on again. 5-7

Race 9

No. 7 Acute looks to be the speed and won her last start at this level, No. 2 Splendiferous Moon will be making a big late run. 2-7

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

Hollendorfer has the two main players in this race with No. 3 Lady Aspen and No. 4 Halo Dolly who has never been off the board on this turf course. 3-4

Race 2

No. 3 Anytime Magic moves up off the win and gets Baze, bet him to cash. 3

Race 3

No. 6 Rome has early speed and gets the big drop in class, No. 8 Mark a Star will be making a late run at Rome. 6-8

Race 4

After three tries with straight maidens on the grass No. 4 Bobgeepers gets off the grass and drops to the bottom, No. 5 Visionary Leader could wake up with the drop to this level as could No. 9 Squawk One. No. 8 Crawford the Crook ran ok in his first start at this level and this circuit. 4-5-8-9

Tri box 4-5-8-9

Race 5

No. 8 Come Next Monday will find a fast early pace that will set it up for her late run as she shoots for the hat trick, we think she gets it off the claim and the layoff. 8

Race 6

No. 3 Rest Lake gets Baze back off the easy win, No. 5 Kasune drops into an action spot. No. 12 Margies Rule will be making a big late run. 3-5-12

Race 7

We get a group of long time losers in this 20k maiden claimer going a mile on the grass but someone will win and it could be No. 4 Last Greetings who ran a good second on the grass in her last start for No. 5 Covet who gets stretched out in this her fourth start. No. 6 Miss Bobbie Bear gets a shot at going long and the grass in this her third start. No. 7 Khun Dots Varon drops into a maiden claimer for the first-time. 4-5-6-7

Race 8

The one time No. 2 Brilliant Melody ran here she won, No. 6 Tisfit is working very good off the big maiden breaker. 2-6

Race 9

No. 1 Ella’s Kitten is in from Santa Anita and drops to this 8k maiden claimer and its interesting that Baze will ride, No. 9 Spectrus gets his second start at this level, he ran a good second last time out and now will try going long. 1-9
