In this five horse field we will take a stand and single No. 4 Frandontjudge who exits our HTW list in the players pick five. Fran ran a good third in her first try on this cushion surface and now gets her first start off the Sadler claim and Rosario who is left over from Thanksgiving gets the call. 4

Race 2

In this odd 7½ furlong race for some very weak 40k maiden claimers we will use No. 4 Moonlight Stroll a first time starter, No. 6 Papa’s Flashy Girl with Rosario riding for Peter Miller and No. 7 She’s Flush who lost by a head here on November 23rd. 4-6-7

Race 3

No. 2 Nickels Wild is very unlucky to still be a maiden as she lost her last two turf routes by a head and a neck. No. 5 Serene Melody exits the same race as Wild and she was the third filly on the lone. No. 7 Intoxicating Move who exits our HTW list made just that in her last start at Santa Anita back in October, she will be the one to fear late. 2-5-7

Race 4

No. 4 Easy Topper was scratched out of the first race this past Sunday for this spot. No. 5 Tosheen is the speed and will try and take them wire-to-wire. 4-5

Race 5

No. 1 Born Lucky gets Bejarano back in the irons and he won with lucky one race back. No. 3 English Rhythm is in from Belmont Park and Nakatani gets the call. 1-3

Rosario will be gunning No. 1 Papa Smitty from the rail. He will try and hold off No. 5 Tax Enough who exits our HTW list and gets his second try at this 30k maiden level. No. 11 California Jade drops into a maiden claimer for the first time. 1-5-11

No. 2 Moone’s My Name has run bang up in her two stateside starts and today looks the day. No. 5 Gulsary will be right there. 2-5

Race 8

No. 1 Market Notes has been right there in all four of his starts at three different tracks, maybe the Hollywood cushion surface will be the answer. No. 2 Reps and Warrants is a live first time starter for Doug O’Neill. No. 11 Znelle also will try the cushion surface and will be part of the early pace if not the front runner. 1-2-11

We will try and beat Baze in this race and use No. 1 My Friend Gail first off the Andy Mathis claim and No. 4 Here It Tiz her stablemate with the hot riding Juan Hernandez in the irons. 1-4

No. 2 DrWilliams got off the grass and romped in his last. No. 3 Two Parts is the speed and will play catch me if you can. 2-3

No. 3 Red Defense may have been best in his last start but trouble got him, he finished third by ¾ of a length. No. 5 Run Leyton Run ran right behind the Red Defense last time out and now gets Carr. 3-5

No. 1 Bluegrass Chapp has speed and a nice last work for this. No. 3 Win Photos Will Do has run good in both of his starts here. No. 8 Stormy Surge is a 10yo who still loves to win races. 1-3-8

No. 3 Chapman’s Peak will once again try and hold off No. 5 Soldiers Point. 3-5

Race 7 

Only seven races today at the Gate. No. 3 Blue Blizzard has Baze in the irons and the three times he rode this filly he has two wins and a second. No. 6 Daitanna is in top form and the main danger for the Blue Blizzard. 3-6
