THE 75K EDDIE LOGAN

This race named after famed shoeshine guy at Santa Anita and they also have a beautiful room there named for him. Gary Stevens and Tom Proctor have been gold together in these turf races and they hook up with No. 2 Enterprising fresh off a nice maiden breaker on the grass at this mile distance. No. 3 Craftsman is a very classy Irish invader and the one to beat. 2-3

No. 1 Gameboy Luke gets a major rider upgrade and has a sharp 5 furlong last work. No. 8 Pimpernel gets his second start for Baffert, he showed speed only to lose at .80 cents on the dollar in his first start, he will once again try and take them wire-to-wire, he is bred to dirt. 1-8

We get 2yo maidens going a mile on the grass. No. 6 Kozani looks ready to stretchout after that nice even 6 furlong turf effort. No. 8 On Draft is bred to love this turf distance and gets the good turf jock Brice Blanc. No. 9 Number Five exits our HTW list as a $$$$$ play. 6-8-9

No. 8 Seeking the Sherif freaked here off the long layoff when winning by almost ten lengths after taking nearly two years off. He once again took nine months off but the good sign is that Bejarano will ride. No. 1 Mary Helen’s Storm got up for the narrow win in start number 10 in his last race and will find a very fast 0pace to make his late run. 1-8

THE GRADE 3 DAYTONA

And down the hill they go in the Daytona. No. 4 Unbridled’s Note was close here in the BC sprint going down the hill. No. 8 Ain’t No Other gets Bejarano back in the irons and he just lost with this 5yo gelding by a ½ length the last time he rode him down the hill. 4-8

Race 9

No. 4 Kissin Lucky Lips, nice name for this 2yo filly who is out of the dam Northern Emerald who has dropped 4 winners from 4 starters and she has been in steady works here since September. No. 5 Miraculous Mindy has finished 3rd in both of her starts against better and the drop to this level may get her home. No. 11 Exotic Behavior continues her drop for Baffert searching for her correct level, she will show all of her speed toady and could take them wire-to-wire. 4-5-11

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 5 Honest Desire won her last start when going a mile on this synthetic surface. No. 7 Dolphin Shorts continues to drop and may have found a spot for win number two. 5-7

Race 2

Jockey Dennis Carr gets on dropper No. 2 La Pearla who is spotted for action. Baze gets on No. 5 Halo La and he will try and take her wire-to-wire. No. 8 Pairodice Ridge will be making a late run. 2-5-8

Race 3 

No. 5 When We Met is looking for the hat trick and will find a solid early pace to set up his late run. No. 7 China Prince is in from the recently forever closed Hollywood meet and is a perfect fit with these. 5-7

No. 3 Another Flashback is back in town and back going long on the grass. No. 6 Readyforhercloseup will wake up in this spot with the drop to this level. 3-6

No. 4 Sharp Richard is in from Hollywood off of two nice efforts and now gets his first start off the Matthew Chew claim, he may like it here. No. 9 Dr Williams gets back on the grass and the man will ride for trainer Bill Morey first off the claim and the big move up in class. 4-9

Race 7

Hollendorfer sends out first time starter No. 1 He’s On His Toes who is out of the dam Up on Her Toes who has dropped 5 winners from 5 starters including a stakes winner. No. 8 Alert Bay has finished second in both of his starts, he has a nice last work and gets a new jock. No. 9 Foozer is a first time starter that is live and may offer betting value. 1-8-9

Race 8

No. 1 Toomanytomatoes gets her second start on this circuit and some extra distance. No. 6 McBoomer likes this course and can run fresh. 1-6

Race 9

No. 2 Dancing Yodeler is in top form and has been kept in steady work mode, trainer Antonio Diaz has won with 8 of his 16 starters at the meet and he sends out No. 5 Tonzatrouble. No. 8 Smoking G gets jockey Kyle Frey back who won with him one race back. 2-5-8
