SANTA ANITA

Race 1

No. 3 Still Unbroken looks perfectly spotted off the maiden win and this 3yo gelding may not need the lead. If he can take back off a hot pace he could win at another good price. No. 4 Oneandonlyloveman may be the speed of the speed on the drop to this level. 3-4

Race 2

No. 2 Fit to Rule could repeat with this bad group of 16k claimers. The drop will help No. 1 Shoer Hugh’s chances. 1-2

Race 3

We get our favorite hook up with Gary Stevens getting on the Tom Proctor filly No. 1 Caribe d’Oro who gets her second start off the layoff and gets on the grass as she will go a mile on the grass. No. 6 Lakota Road got close in her last start here at this mile turf distance missing by less than a length, she moves to the barn of Doug O’Neill. 1-6

Exacta box 1-6 and win and place 1

Race 4

No. 3 Only the Gold gets the move up off the good win and really won’t find these much tougher than the 8k claimers he beat last time out. No. 2 Twin Six gets Chantal in the irons and will sit right off the hot pace that will be set by the two speedsters the No. 1 Unstopper Topper and No. 4 Coo Cachoo. 2-3

Race 5

No. 1 Cernobbio finished second in both of his starts since coming here from Florida. No. 9 Friendswith K Mill his second try on the grass and second with Mike Smith and first going long, he has a solid work since his last start. 1-9

Race 6

No. 1 Battier is in from New York where he was stabled in the barn of Todd Pletcher, Stevens takes the ride. No. 3 Fury Kapcori comes off a big win but will need to deal with No. 4 Batti Man who finished second behind him last time out and the other speed in here No. 6 Majestic City. No. 7 Midnight Transfer had his race and now will go long, he looks set for a big effort off of that last bullet work, our money will be on him. 7

Win and place 7

Race 7

First of back-to-back maiden races to finish the card today, this race will go a mile on the grass for 3yo fillies and No. 5 Ay Ay Ay exits our HTW list as a $$$ play off her narrow loss on this mile turf course first out of the box. She moves in with straight maidens today and that is a cause for concern. Nakatani gets back on No. 6 Euroclydon who missed with him on one race back by a nostril. No. 8 Unusual Style ran right behind Euroclydon in that race and has a nice last work. 5-6-8

Exacta box 5-6-8

Race 8

We get 4yo and up 20k maiden fillies and mares going 5½ furlongs. Marty Jones puts the bug boy Van Dyke on third time starter No. 5 Amina Perfect after him we will need to hit the all button. 5

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 2 Chapman’s Peak is an old pro and gets Hernandez back on the last jock to win with him. No. 4 Full Instinct will be right there at this level. 2-4

Race 2

No. 2 Impressa Vanessa almost got there when Dennis Carr got the ride last time out and he will be on again today. 2

Race 3

In a very bad field of 5k maiden claimers we will opt for the only first time starter No. 4 Notjustanumber, this 5yo mare could pop at a price. 4

Win and place 4

Race 4

No. 1 Mo’s a Wine Snob drops in with maiden claimers and will show all of his speed from the rail. No. 4 Redstone also has some speed and will fall into a tracking position right behind Mo. No. 6 Paszcatch wil do just that sit in the back and try and catch them late. 1-4-6

Race 5

No. 1 Song of the Times gets Baze back and may be the speed. No. 5 Private Tanner will try and run them down at a price. 1-5

Double

4th 1-4-6

5th 1-5

Race 6

No. 1 Taramo is looking for his fourth straight win and second at this mile distance, bet him to cash.
