The fact that Bejarano gets the call makes him the one to beat and he does exit our HTW list and exits the same race as Courtside and No. 5 Truelee Scrappin who was a neck in from of Paseo going 5½ furlongs. No. 6 One Firm Cat gets a drop in class and loves this 7 furlong distance with 2 wins and a third from three starts.

If the track comes up wet No. 1 Quizzical loves a wet track and is a must use with Van Dyke getting the call. No. 3 Llandudno gets Talamo back in the irons and she will get a good stalking trip behind the speed. No. 5 Peppy Bolly loves this track with 4 wins and 3 seconds from her eight starts here. 1-3-5

Race 3

No. 4 Taran Taran gets Gary Stevens riding for Bob Baffert off the layoff, this one is very live. No. 5 Mank exits our HTW list off a solid second when coming off the layoff, with the race under his belt he will be hard to beat today. 4-5

Race 4

Scheduled to go down the hill if the rains are gone. Fernando Perez gets back on No. 4 Old Man Lake who just missed going down the hill with him riding one race back. No. 5 Bobo gets blinkers on and Brice Blanc and he won in his only try going down the hill. No. 6 Boozer won in his only try also and he may be the speed of the speed. 4-5-6

Race 5

No. 5 She Digs Me just won at this distance in his first start here for Peter Miller and now gets the move up in class and the price will be a good one. No. 7 First Strike will be the one that will be making a big late run at the speed. 5-7

Race 6

No. 2 L X Sunrise looks to have woke up in start number two and now will try and go 1-1/16. No. 3 Big Rosie Brown was sent way over her head last time out and now is back where she can do some damage especially with Bejarano getting the call. No. 8 Chicago Angel will show all of her speed today with the bug boy Van Dyke getting on board. 2-3-8

Race 7

In a race loaded with early speed the question is who will be the closer and will one of the speed horse get clear early? No. 8 Vindicated Ruler just may be the best of the early speed off the long layoff as she has run good off a layoff in the past. No. 7 Willetta had a tough trip in her last start and did run second behind the Vindicated Ruler last year at Del Mar. No. 9 Warren’s Assassin could be a good price play off the layoff and getting back to the dirt. 7-8-9

This race is good for 10 Kentucky Oaks points, Mike Smith who rode No. 1 Artemis (Gary Stevens today) now opts for the speedy No. 3 Awesome Baby how he was on for her last Grade 2 win. No. 2 Anniversary Kitty exits our HTW list and will try dirt for the first time, she will be making a late run if she can handle the surface. No. 4 Swiss Lake Yodeler also gets off the grass and owns a win here on the dirt going a mile, she has been working a hole in the wind. 1-2-3-4

Race 9

No. 4 Closet E lost by a neck when dropped to this level in his last start when sent off at .80 cents on the dollar. Jeff Mullins who can strike with a first time starter sends out No. 7 Fishinkonablue with Tyler Baze riding. No. 9 Johns Journey lost by a head when he ran at this level one race back. 4-7-9

No. 5 Tiz Blushing will be odds on with these. No. 6 Hyena almost got there when dropped to this level last time out and is the upsetter. 5-6

How bad can this race be when No. 1 Shimmering Star who is 0-21 just may be the favorite. Second time starter No. 6 Grantbobiawish drops into a maiden claimer and gets Baze. 1-6

Race 3

No. 4 Geldautomat is in from Santa Anita looking to get the maiden breaker. No. 6 Bananappeal is a second time starter who ran a nice even race first out of the box, he can only go better today at a good price. 4-6

Race 4

No. 3 Brock Says gets back to the level of his near miss one race back. No. 5 Blue Collar Boy is the speed and will be playing catch me if you can. 3-5

Race 5

No. 1 What’s for Dinner is the speed on the rail with Baze. No. 2 Mr. Make Believe gets his fouth start here and fourth jockey in Juan Hernandez, he lost to What’s for Dinner by a ½ length one race back. 1-2

We will go with three runners exiting the same race No. 4 American Aristocat who was 3rd by a neck. No. 6 High Tide Line who was 2nd by a head and No. 7 Whilly Pink who was 4th by ¾ of a length. 4-6-7

No. 2 Tribal Waters is a first time starter out of the dam Rio Tejo and this old mare has dropped 12 winners from 13 starters including 4 stakes winners, he has a very nice last work. No. 3 Kimnjet is in from Santa Anita where he had not shot against the likes of Hoppertunity who he met last time out in his first start off the layoff. No. 7 Hillside Select exits our HTW list off a solid try going 5½ furlongs in his first start, he goes six today and that could get him home on top. 2-3-7

No. 4 Trice Up gets the big move up in class off his win with NW of 2, he now faces NW of 3 but Baze sticks, No. 8 Bomb Site is well spotted off the win. 4-8
