SANTA ANITA

Race 1

With the rains gone we look for the track to change, if so No. 6 Seeking Asylum will get the win as he finds a field loaded with early speed, he will sit off the pace and run them down. 6

Race 2

We get the same scenario in the second half of the early double as No. 3 Candiz is the only closer in a race loaded with early speed. 3

Double

1st 6

2nd 3

Race 3

In an unlikely scenario we have another singleton as No. 6 Just Dancing comes off a huge maiden breaker first off the Mike Mitchell claim, he moves this 5yo mare up in class and this mile distance looks perfect for her. 3

Race 4

No. 3 Chat n’ Cut really looked good breaking his maiden at first asking at this 5-1/2 furlong distance and now becomes claimproof in this starter allowance race, No. 6 Northern Force looks well spotted off the layoff and he gets the big break in the weights with the bug boy Van Dyke getting the call. 3-6

Race 5

The turn course should be ok for this downhill turf sprint and the selection is made for the grass, so if it comes off you will need to adjust. No. 2 Act ran a big race in his one and only on the dirt so he can go either way, he is bred to love the green, No. 3 Kozani has run back-to-back good turf races and this downhill race may be the answer. No. 5 Number Five (hunch play of the day) exits the same race as Kozani and his one race going down the hill was a good one. 2 ( any surface)-3 (turf) 5 (turf). 2-3-5

Pick five

1st 6

2nd 3

3rd 3

4th 3-6

5th 2-3-5

Play a pick four if the first leg loses and a double if not alive in the pick five for pick four.

Race 6

Just don’t like any of the girls that have run so we will opt for two first-time starters that are out of two good barns, No. 2 Warren’s Tricia R. with Maldonado in the irons and No. 8 Our Dream Queen with Bejarano riding for Jerry H. and this one has some good works here. 2-8

Race 7

No. 1 Joelito had his setup race and looks ready for the money run, we get the outstanding connections of Gary Stevens riding for Tom Proctor on No. 6 Monastic. No. 8 Power Ped exits our HTW list off a solid win and he gets Mike Smith. 1-6-8

Exacta box 1-6-8

Race 8

No. 5 Violate gets her second start off the layoff off a good last work, No. 6 She’s Flush has had her chances but the drop back to this level and the fact that Bejarano sticks makes her a must use. No. 10 Warrenspoweroflove will get the trip of trips from this post and looks the one to beat. 5-6-10

Double

7th 1-6-8

8th 10

Pick four

5th 2-3-5

6th 2-8

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

We will use two exiting the same race, No. 1 Just Like Uptown just needs a patient ride, No. 3 Big Leap will be coming with a late run. 1-3

Race 2

No. 2 Chat With Me will try and duplicate his performance one race back when he beat No. 4 Summer Sunrise who will try and take them wire-to-wire. No. 3 Chilcotin comes off a good maiden breaker. 2-3-4

Double

1st 1-3

2nd 2-3-4

Race 3

No. 1 Alicia Memory’s is the speed on the rail and she has finished second in both of her starts, Baze gets on first-time starter No. 2 Jennifers Miss for the low profile Ricardo Perez, this one is live. No. 5 Undone Sweater gets a turn back to a sprint and will be right there. 1-2-5

No. 1 Cast in Silver won for fun in her first start at 9/5, No. 2 Lunch Hour and No. 3 Kris Furillo are the main danger. 1-2-3

Race 5

No. 2 Impressa Vanessa will try and run down No. 1 Silver n’Brass and No. 4 Jazz Girl, both of whom will get the jump on her. 1-2-4

Exacta and tri box 1-2-4

Race 6

No. 4 Art Official drops trying to cash as he makes his first start on the synthetic surface after seven failed turf efforts, No. 7 Woodsie Party moves up off a nice even effort in his first start. 4-7

Race 7

Only seven races today and we will need to go four deep in here using No. 1 Preacher Roe who has hit the board in all four of his starts here with two wins, No. 4 Grazen’s Hope who is Roe’s stablemate and comes back to town after being put way over his head last time out. No. 6 Convoy finally got the hard fought win in his seventh start and No. 8 Noble Metal who is in from Santa Anita where he faced much stronger. 1-4-6-8
