Trainer Bob Baffert looks to hold the two aces in the hole in this five horse field with No. 5 Pimpernel, the high priced speedy 3yo colt, and his stablemate No. 3 Beach Hut, the stalker with Gary Stevens getting the call. 3-5

Race 3

No. 2 Angel’s Moon gets off the grass and looks spotted for action getting back to the dirt and the distance of her win. No. 6 Beautiful Spirit drops off the win but her trainer Jeff Bonde hits at around .50% with this win and drop move and her last work was a pip! No. 8 Metaxa gets her first start off the Miyadi claim and is in good form. 2-6-8

We will go with Proctor/Proctor in this race as it seems whenever he puts two in the same race he wins with one of them. In here he sends out the stalker No. 1 Winding Way with his main man Stevens and the very speedy No. 4 Biorhythm with the bug boy Van Dyke taking over for Stevens who rode her last time out. They could circle the track together. 1-4

No. 2 More Stormyweather moves into the barn of Bill Spawr and gets a major rider switch to Bejarano. No. 6 Moscato Girl is very unlucky to still be a maiden and drops back down to this 30k level and Espinoza gets his shot with her. No. 7 New Nature just missed by a neck last time out at this level.

We will single No. 5 Practising who exits our HTW list off a big win in her first start in the country for trainer Paddy Gallagher who looks to have her spotted for a repeat win. 5

Race 7

No. 4 Tiz Zoe Cee gets her first try and conventional dirt and just may like it. No. 6 Indygo F M A also moves onto the dirt and has a nice last work. No. 8 In Dad’s Honor is in top form and is proven on this course. She will try and get the jump on them down the lane and hold off the closers. 4-6-8

Race 8

No. 2 Always a Chance gets back to his original claimed price off the win against statebreds. No. 3 Creditcardroulette is in good form on this downhill course and gets her first start off the claim. No. 9 Le Fascinantor is in from back East for Proctor who looks loaded today. This unknown is a must use on the turn back to a sprint and the price will be a good one. 2-3-9

Race 1

No. 1 Quick Cenizas drops and gets Baze. No. 5 Ibdancingtoo will try and spring the gate and take them wire-to-wire. 1-5

No. 3 So So Fast gets a needed drop in class. Baze will try and win two straight as he gets on No. 6 Wetherbee Lake off the layoff for John Martin, if this mare is ready she wins. 3-6

Race 3

Trainer Alex Paszkeich sends out two runners in this 1-1/16 $12,500 maiden claimer. No. 1 Just Plain Hope gets Juan Hernandez, he is the big closer; and No. 5 Peppered Sky who will be on or near the early pace. 1-5

Race 4

No. 4 City Chapel will get the perfect setup as he is the only closer in a race loaded with early speed. We will single in the picks and bet him to win and place. 4

The last time trainer Blaine Wright went from a mile to a 5½ furlong sprint with No. 3 Winona Louise he got the win with her. No. 4 Millie’s Topper may be set in this her third start off the layoff. No. 6 Suicide Curves is the speed. 3-4-6

No. 2 When I’m Calling U is in good form and finds a field she can beat. No. 4 Dizzy Tizzy is looking for her third straight win. 2-4

Trainer Steve Sherman drops No. 3 Run Sophia Run off the win and he hits at around .45% with the move but she has never won back to back races. No. 6 Pebble Beach Baby won her only start here and ships in from Santa Anita. No. 7 Hollanita is looking for her fifth straight win and will be a short price. 3-6-7
