Race 1

In a very wide open downhill turf sprint trainer Carla Gaines drops No. 7 Bertrane into this high level 75k maiden claimer, she gives Bertrane a turn back in distance after going a mile on the grass first out of the box, we look for much better today at a good price. No. 5 Distillery just did miss when dropped to this level in his last start and today could be his day. 5-7

Race 2

No. 6 Maximinus looks to be the speed of the speed and No. 5 Sams Blue Cat will try and run him down. No. 1 Morning Line Wiz looks like a sneaky shipper. 1-5-6

Race 3

No. 3 Bart the Barrister looks live at first asking for Mitchell off of that last 5 furlong work. If No. 6 Mr. Cactus can run back to his race one back he can win. 3-6

Race 4

This looks like No. 5 Ciao Bella Luna’s race to lose, she has good early speed and won her last going down the hill. No. 2 Dancingtothestars could make a late impact. 2-5

Race 5

Someone will need to sit back off of a hot pace in this race in pounce on the tiring speed down the lane. The horse that could do that and at a price is No. 3 Sir Macho who used those tactics in his last race when breaking his maiden and he was claimed for 50k out of the race, Tyler Baze will need to sit chilly. No. 7 Tenkiller Kid also has that ability to sit and he could be huge price. 3-7

4th 2-5

5th 3-7

Race 6

We get 3yo fillies going a mile on the grass. No. 1 Sedona Gal did not run that bad going down the hill and is bred to go long. Trainer Richard Mandella has put a great work pattern into second time starter No. 3 Perfect Cursive and her stablemate No. 4 Tizmiss. We will use both of them. Gary Stevens rides the Tom Proctor runner No. 9 Star Act who just failed to get there in her last start when beaten by one tough filly. 1-3-4-9**

Key exacta box 9 with 1-3-4

Race 7

No. 1 Fiftyshadesofhay has burned a ton of cash in her last three starts and will be well bet again today. No. 5 Let Faith Arise has run back-to-back solid seconds in Grade II races and her works have keep her on edge. She is ready to fire another big shot. 1-5

Race 8

No. 2 Di Giorgio was unlucky to lose last time out and looks to make amends. Stevens who rode Di Giorgio last time out moves to the Tom Proctor runner No. 7 Procurement off some real nice works.

Race 9

No. 3 Whine for Wine ran a solid second in his first start. He exits our HTW list and looks the one to beat but No. 4 K Thirty Eight exits the same race and he showed good early speed in his start and could get the jump on Whine for Wine. No. 5 Next Book just missed in his first start at Hollywood on the synthetic surface, he will need to take to the dirt. No. 7 Masochistic has a big last work for this his first start.

Key exacta and tri 3 with 4-5-7 and 4-5-7 with 3

No. 5 Live for Now is the speed and the filly to beat as she gets off the grass and gets Baze back in the irons. 5

Race 2

No. 1 Morning Fix has a bullet work since her easy win first out of the box. No. 3 Stop Smiling is her stablemate and comes off a 7 month vacation since being even money in the Grade 2 Sorrento at Del Mar. 1-3

Race 3

No. 3 Dancing Yodeler lost by a nostril in his last start and now this 6yo gelding is spotted for the win. No. 6 Storming Kentucky is the speed and will try and outrun the dancing yodeler. 3-6

Race 4

No. 1 Gospel Music comes back to town after a couple good runs at Santa Anita. He will be very hard to beat in this race but will need to be at his best to beat the very speedy Hollendorfer runner No. 4 Speedy White Socks. Jockey Mario Gutierrez who is in town to ride in the Camilla Urso in race seven picks up the mount on first time starter No. 6 Song of Victory who has some good works for this. 1-4-6

Race 5

No. 2 Van Lingle Mungo is on a win every other race pattern and this is his win race. No. 3 Being There exits the same race as Mungo and will be making a late run with him. No. 5 Blackford also exits the race and gets Baze riding for Mason and that’s always a play when these two hook up. 2-3-5

Race 6

No. 2 Vinoterra is the speed and once again will play catch me if you can. No. 4 Global Warming will sit right off her or right on her and will not let her get away today. If the top two hook up No. 5 Tiz Partners will run them both down. 2-4-5

Race 7

No. 1 Happybirthdaybaby is looking for her 5th win here out of 6 starts, his only loss was by a neck. Troy Taylor brings in No. 2 Marketway from Hastings Park and his old buddy Mario Gutierrez flies in for the ride. John Sadler ships in No. 4 Minds Eyes and Juan Hernandez gets the leg up, this 5yo mare will be storming home late. No. 5 Marks Mine is back in town after a narrow loss at Santa Anita going down the hill, she will be on the front end. To make things even tougher in this race No. 7 Miss Lucky Sevens (the hunch play of the day) also comes in from Santa Anita and gets off the grass, she won on the synthetic surface at Keeneland. The bottom line is with all the early speed in here we will use No. 4 Minds Eyes and No. 7 Miss Lucky Sevens. 4-7

Race 8

The last four times that Juan Hernandez rode No. 2 Beast of Bourbon he got the win. No. 3 Valiant Flame is back from Turf Paradise where he ran in the Phoenix Cup and finished a good 3rd, he is on a win every other race pattern and this is his win race off a bullet last work. No. 4 Summer Hit is back in town from Santa Anita, he is the speed and has won 5 of his six starts here with a second. 2-3-4

Race 9

The gig is up on No. 6 Preacher’s Bluff who gets the big drop in class as they look to recoup some of their claim money back. No. 8 Whilly Pink looks to be sitting on a win. 6-8
