No. 6 Famous Alice has been right there in all three of her turf sprints and now will try and go a mile on the grass and gets a big break in the weights with Van Dyke getting the call. 3-4-6

No. 1 Next Book is really unlucky to still be a maiden as he lost his first start by a head and his second by a neck. No. 5 Uncle Luck exits our HTW list off a troubled first start, he is a big player in here. No. 6 K Thirty Eight is the one to beat with Maldonado gunning from the bell. 1-5-6

Race 3

No. 5 Dead Easy comes off the layoff and gets the needed drop in class. No. 10 Boom Boys is a first time starter for Doug O’Neill, his works say he is ready to fire a big shot. 5-10

No. 2 Unusual Hottie looks to be back in form and will get the perfect trip behind the speed. No. 4 Halo Dolly doesn’t like to win back-to-back races but will get her usual piece. 2-4

No. 4 Lakerville gets off the grass and try a mile once again, he does have a real nice last work in the dirt. No. 6 China Prince comes off the little layoff with some good works in two but dirt will be his question mark. No. 1 Rousing Sermon is the horse in here proven on the dirt at this track and will need to rebound but will with the drop from a grade 1. 1-4-6

Race 6

No. 1 Heat Flash just missed by a dwindling ½ a length here at this mile turf distance just seven days ago. No. 4 It Is Living Water gets a needed rider switch to Geovanni Franco who can ride as trainer A C Avila has given Omar his walking papers. 1-4

We will take our shot and single No. 7 Warren’s Veneda who comes off the layoff for trainer Craig Lewis. This filly won her only start here by 7 lengths going a mile, she can get this sprint distance and will get a perfect setup with all the early speed. 7

The key horse in this 1-1/8 turf route is No. 5 Sizzlin’ Joe with sizzling Joe Talamo back in the irons. He was aboard this 5yo gelding one race back when going this turf distance and got the win. We will key him first and second in the exacta with No. 3 Awesome Prospect who exits the same last race. No. 4 Harness Mentality also out of the race and No. 9 Gallant Charm who will be making a big late run. 3-4-5**-9

No. 1 Swiss Lake Yodeler gets back on a fast dirt track, a surface she cruised on for an easy win last November. No. 5 Anniversary Kitty only needs to take to the dirt to be a player with these. 1-5

No. 6 Tamarando comes back to earth after trying some tough runners in the Grade III Spiral Stakes at Turfway Park, he is a real grinder and only need to take to the grass to get the win and his breeding says he will like the green and that last work of 1:13 going 6 furlongs on the grass with the dogs up says he is on go. No. 8 Patriots Rule exits our HTW list off a huge win when squeezed off at the start and comeing form last to pull away late in his first turf start. 6-8

No. 6 Shoer Hugh will be a nice price play in the late pick four as he has the tough connections of Paul Aguirre and Iggy Puglisi, we look for a big turnaround in form. No. 7 No Contingency drops into an action spot and has good stalking speed. No. 11 Jovita’s Tuffy exits our HTW list and gets his first start off the Ron Ellis claim and the last time Maldonado was in the irons he got the win with this guy. 6-7-11

Race 1

This is a very bad group of $8k maiden claimers and that will lead us to two fillies shipping in and dropping down to this low level. No. 3 Divine Josephine who had a very troubled start in her one and only start for a $30k price at Santa Anita. She now moves into the barn of Steve Sherman who has put two solid works into her. No. 5 Violate the filly to beat off her ½ length loss going this mile distance last time out for a price tag of $30k. 3-5

Race 2

This one is scheduled to go 1-1/16 on the grass. No. 1 Jackson Sundown has been looking for a grass start. No. 4 Sea Preacher just missed in two of this three grass starts. No. 6 Crushed It comes off a good maiden breaker last time out and he faced tougher in his turf races at Santa Anita. 1-4-6

Race 3

No. 3 Lucky Moment comes off the layoff for trainer Mason, he has this filly spotted for the win. We will be betting and the price could be right. 3

The new bug boy in here at the Gate, Jimmy Guzman gets his first start on the John Martin huge dropper No. 1 Rushomatic, he may only need to hold on. No. 3 Rambunchkie drops for Sherman and gets Carr in the irons. 1-3

Race 5

We get $20k 3yo maidens scheduled to go a mile on the grass. No. 3 Smiley Eagle has been stuck in 3rd with straight maidens. He drops in with maiden claimers for the first time and this combo of Baze/ Hollendorfer have been on fire of late with 5 wins, 3 seconds and a 3rd from their last ten hookups entering into Thursday. No. 7 Taylored to Win is the but top sire English Channel and his dam Supreme Council has dropped two winners from three starters and both were turf winners. 3-7

No. 1 Biltmore Boogie has two wins and two second in his four starts and is on a win every other race pattern, this is his win race and that last work was a pip. No. 3 Deception Free has shown a fondness for this course since coming in from Santa Anita. 1-3

Trainer Jerry Hollendorfer sends out three runners in this race, with Baze getting on the very fast No. 6 Summer Hit who will need to deal with No. 7 Horizontalyspeakin who also wants the front end and if these two hook up someone could come from behind and score at a nice price. No. 8 Fast Track could be the one as he has won three straight turf races at Turf Paradise and his jockey Tammi Piermarini comes in with him for the ride. 6-7-8

Race 8

Trainer Craig Dollase has won with 5 of his 13 starters here, he brings in No. 2 Toledo Eddie who may like it here. No. 10 Real Conundrum comes in off the 8 month layoff for trainer Dan Hendricks, he will get a very fast early pace and could be moving fastest of all down the lane. 2-10

Race 9

The day ends at the Gate with some bad $8k maiden claimers, jockey Juan Hernandez gets on the Steve Sherman shipper dropper No. 6 Lord of Ballandrae, he has put three works into him and looks the one to beat. 6
