$30k maiden 2yo fillies go 5-1/2 furlongs, No. 1 Delaney’s Joy drops and gets off the grass in this her second start, she also will get blinkers on. No. 8 Lady Dash ran a good second in her last start after getting off the rail in her first two starts, she looks ready to pop. 1-8

Race 2

No. 4 Innocent Man will show all of his speed first off the Peter Miller claim and the drop to this level. No. 8 Half Dome Dude comes here in top form and owns two wins over the track. No. 9 Southern Sunrise broke his maiden here last year and looks the speed of the speed off the last bullet work here on the 18th. 4-8-9

No. 1 Contributor is in from Arlington Park for the top connections of Drayden Van Dyke and Tom Proctor, he will find a fast early pace to make his late run. No. 5 Clever Royal comes here from Churchill Downs and lands in the barn of Bob Hess Jr. Kent D. gets the leg up. No. 9 Local One Thirty also comes in from Arlington Park and looks to have a big shot with Bejarano getting the call. 1-5-9

Race 4

$40k maiden 2y going 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 3 Papa G looks to be live off of that last work and the price will be right with the low profile Jorge Vargas Jr. getting the leg up for trainer Jeff Bonde who can strike with a first time starter. Steven Miyadi and Tommy Town Thoroughbreds hook up with second time starter No. 10 Mikes Lion who showed good early speed in his one start. He also sends out his stablemate first time starter No. 11 Gottalovethosecats who is stuck on the also list. 3-10-11 

Race 5

No. 4 Heat Du Jour gets off the grass in this his second start off the Hollendorfer claim, she will find a fast early pace to make her late run if able to handle the surface. No. 6 Fantastic Mizz also gets off the grass and will try the synthetic surface, she has a good last work here on the 19th. She will be in a good stalking position turning for home. No. 8 Lady Asano won here last year almost a year to the day.

Race 6

They go five furlongs on the grass. No. 6 Yes She’s Unusual is a two time winner going down the hill and should be able to handle this five furlong turf course. No. 7 Tarn is in from Ireland where he won going 6 furlongs on the grass, she worked a bullet here on the 16th. No. 8 Intoxicating Move exits our HTW list and will be flying late and the last two times she won Bejarano was on her, he is back aboard today.

THE $100K GRADE III COUGAR HANDICAP GOING 1-1/2 

No. 6 Big John B exits our HTW list and gets a big move up in class. No. 8 Sky Kingdom ran second by a half a 1/2 length in this race last year behind Richards Kid and there are no Richards Kid’s in this race. No. 9 Soi Phet is a perfect 3-for-3 here on the synthetic surface. 6-8-9

Race 8

With the 4 p.m. post there will be only eight races on the card as they need to let the concert crowd come in. The last race ends with maiden fillies and mares going 6 furlongs. Hollenderfor sends out first time starter No. 2 Sam’s Sister, she is out of the dam Kittery Point who has dropped two winners from two starters. She had a bullet work here on the 20th. Baffert sends out first time starter the $150k purchase No. 3 Go Get Em Babe, a late blooming 4yo. No. 9 Summerofsixtythree went off at 9/5 in her first start showing good early speed when battling on the pace and tiring when caught down on the inside. The move to this outside post could get her home on top. Doug O’Neill sends out first time starter No. 10 Kirov who was purchased for $325k, Mike Smith says he will stick around to ride and she has a bullet work here on the 17th. 2-3-9-10

SANTA ROSA

Race 2

No. 1 Baciami woke up at the Oaktree meet when placed on the dirt running a nice second. Baze gets on the Hollendorfer first time starter No. 3 Lutine Belle and Baze has won on five of his last six rides for Hollendorfer. No. 6 Indian Rocket is a live first time starter for trainer Jeff Bonde. 1-3-6

Race 3

No. 1 Babe’s Journey won at first asking at Santa Anita and now ships here and Baze rides again as they try and take down the double. No. 2 Little Jack has high early speed and is in good form. 1-2

Race 4

No. 1 Showmewhatyougot is the only first time starter in this very soft group of $8k maiden claimers for 3yo fillies, she has a top jock and trainer, she is our play.

WIN AND PLACE 1

Race 5

Baze and Hollendorfer once again hook up in this 1-1/16 turf route with No. 2 Tommy O, No. 4 Myaggieisawildcat ran second on the grass here last year and just broke his maiden last out going a mile on the grass. No. 6 Cant Do the Danse has run good in his two turf routes with a win and a third. 2-4-6

Race 6

No. 5 Highly Cynical finally got the maiden breaker last out in start number 14, he is spotted perfectly off the win. 5

Race 7

No. 6 Fordham Road is the one to beat as he gets back on the grass off a nose loss in his last start, his one win came going this mile distance  on the grass at Santa Anita. 6

Race 8

This is a very tough $25k maiden claimer going 5 furlongs on the grass. The main two look to be the two outside first time starters No. 9 Taxali Gate and No. 10 Blues Zensation. 9-10
