SANTA ANITA

Race 1

We get 2yo maiden fillies going 4-1/2 furlongs. We need to hit the all button or watch the board for them to tip their hand. No. 2 Kyankes is out of a dam that has dropped 3 winners from 3 starters, she is live.

2 (all)

Race 2

No. 3 Juliet’s Tizzy drops into a maiden claimer for the first time and gets a big rider switch. No. 4 Cache Wanted gets his second start and will go much better today at a fair price. No. 6 This Cat’s Awesome has had his chances but now drops to his lowest level. 3-4-6

Race 3

No. 3 Circa’sgoldengear gets a needed drop in class and Bejarano sticks with this 7yo gelding. No. 6 A Toast to You and No. 7 Royal F J exit the same race and both get a nice drop in class. 3-6-7

Race 4

No. 5 Bushwacked gets a drop in class and a major rider upgrade, this is his to lose. No. 6 Cousin Ricky comes off back-to-back wins and looks the main danger although the drop looks a little iffy. 5-6

Exacta box 5-6 and the 5 to win.

Race 5

No. 3 Unusual Stlye woke up in her last start and now gets Nakatani, she looks set for a big run. No. 4 Jennyway U Want It will like the stretchout and Talamo is on his game. 3-4

Double

4th 5-6

5th 3-4

Race 6

We will take our shot in this race and go singling in the late pick four using No. 7 Born Lucky with the hot riding Fernando Perez in the irons. This 6yo mare will find a very hot early pace and the drop will get her home. 7

Race 7

No. 6 Van Dien Avenue exits our HTW list as we love these horses that took some time to break their maidens as they have a tendency to come right back and if Unusual Style wins the fifth race we will up her chances. No. 7 Tiz a Kiss is the price play. 6-7

Race 8

Another one way call for us in the last race as we like No. 6 Superboot who had his race after coming in from over the pond, he has a big work here on May 1st and looks ready to score. 6

Race 3

No. 1 Ya Wanna Hug is the lone speed in here. No. 3 Lucy Wiggles and No. 4 Lil Angelina will both be trying to run her down late. 1-3-4

Exacta box 1-3-4

Race 4

No. 4 Nevaeh’s Promise just never runs a bad race at this level. No. 6 Island Harbor won in her last try going a mile. 4-6

Race 5

No. 2 Depreciable ran an improved race last time out and now is dropped to the level of his claim. No. 3 Delta Ranger is looking for his third straight win and loves this distance. No. 5 Magic Channel is in from Santa Anita for the Hollendorfer and Baze hook up. 2-3-5.

Pick three

3rd 1-3-4

4th 4-6

5th 2-3-5

Race 6

Lots and lots of early speed in this 5-1/2 furlong sprint so we will opt for two closers: No. 1 Shadow Ball off the layoff and No. 4 Runaway Wildcat on the drop. 1-4

Race 7

When trainer Lloyd Mason sends out two in the same race we take notice and he sends out No. 6 Rathmoon and No. 8 Rathbaun. We will use both along with No. 7 Butterfly Soul who will be right there.

6-7-8

Exacta box 6-7-8
