SANTA ANITA

Race 1

Maiden 2yo go 4-1/2 furlongs and we need to do two things, watch the board and hit the all button, and if that’s not possible well the only first time starter we can suggest would be No. 3 Sky Preacher with that last 4 furlong work and Bejarano gets on for O’Neill. 3 (all)

Race 2

No. 2 Grazenette just missed going a mile here last October, she is fresh and dangerous as she makes her 3yo debut as she meets the boys. No. 5 Prospector Alley ran his best race going this mile dirt distance one race back. No. 6 Frensham has been facing much better and will appreciate the class relief. 2-5-6

Race 3

No. 4 Dancer Humor gets back to the level of his good race one back and that race can win this. No. 5 Dr. Spin’s only win came here going a mile on the grass, they drop and the jock change will help his chances.

4-5

Double

2nd 2-5-6

3rd 4-5

Race 4

No. 4 Sooner Born drops into a maiden claimer in this his second start and he gets a big break in the weights with Van Dyke getting the leg up. No. 5 Chapo is a first time starter for a barn that can score with first timers and he gets the leading jock. 4-5

Race 5

No. 2 Elltoninadress drops back to the level of her near miss. No. 3 Hollanita has won 9 of her 18 starts and will be making a late run at the speed. 2-3

Race 6

No. 1 Twin Six exits our HTW list and gets his first start off the claim, he will find a fast early pace and looks all the winner in here. No. 8 Cook Inlet won the last time he was at this level but that was at Hollywood Park last May, he still looks like the main danger. 1-8

Exacta box 1-8 and win and place 1

Race 7

No. 7 Lakota Road has been on a steady grass diet and though still a maiden she faces winners once again but today she looks to have a legit shot and we will take our shot and single her. 7

Race 8

No. 2 Nonna Reese looks to be sitting on the win with jockey Tiago Pereira getting his second shot with her. No. 5 Veronica Bay drops and looks the one to beat at this level in this soft field of $20k maiden claimers. 2-5

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No sense in chatting about this mile turf race. We will use No. 2 Chat With Me and No. 3 Chat With Dixie and hope it stays on the grass. 2-3

Race 2

No. 5 Impressa Vanessa has chewed up some serious bucks in her last five starts finishing second in all five, we will give her one more shot. 5

Race 3

No. 3 Grand Pioneer will be odds on in this race and looks like it, we can’t find a runner to beat him. 3

Race 4

No. 1 Stand by Your Man gets back to a sprint and Hernandez gets back on, today is the day with the drop back to this level and the blinkers going on. No. 4 Cousin Jack and No. 6 Tricky Journey are the main danger. 1**-4-6

Key exacta 1 with 4-6 and a tri box 1-4-6

Race 5

If No. 1 I’m So Puzzled can run back to her race here last September she can win and the price will be juicy. No. 5 French Alps won at .40 cents on the dollar last time out and will be short again. 1-5

Race 6

We will take a shot with a first time starter in this race, No. 3 Devons On Fire whose dam Smoked Glass (Smokester) has dropped 3 winners from 3 starters including a stakes winner, she finds little to beat. 3

Win and place 3

Race 7

No. 1 Handpicked Bud drops into an action spot. No. 3 Hollywood Groom has been stuck in second but will be there again today. No. 6 Mingo is the speed. 1-3-6

Race 8

No. 1 Bubbly On Ice is in from Hastings Park and comes off a 7 month layoff but looks sneaky. No. 2 No More Twinkies is a first time starter who also looks sneaky. No. 5 On the Right Side looks the one to beat off her last start but gets a little move up in class. No. 6 Wildcat Janine did not run good on the dirt but her race on the synthetic Hollywood surface would win this race. 1-2-5-6

Exacta box 1-2-5-6
