Race 3

Kent D gets on first-time starter No. 3 Nifty Fifty who is out of the dam Nifty Slew who has dropped 6 winners from 6 starters including 2 stakes winners, No. 5 Aleander is one of two in here for Bob Baffert, he drops in with maiden claimers for the first-time and will try sprinting again. 3-5

Race 4

We have two runners in this race that are exiting our HTW list, No. 1 Sunset Skies who gets her second start off the layoff and No. 3 Jade With Envy who also gets her second off the layoff and off the narrow loss going down the hill last time out, she gets Desormeaux today. 1-3

No. 1 It is Living Water had a horrible trip last time out when going a mile on the grass, he gets off the grass and is back sprinting, he will get a fast early pace to make his late run, we will single in the late pick four. 1

Race 6

No. 1 Twin Six gets his first start off the Hollendorfer claim and Elvis, with the handicap he gets in with 112 pounds, No. 3 Bobby Flay just missed here at this handicap level last out. No. 5 Husband’s Folly comes off a good win and he also gets his first start off the Hollendorfer claim. 1-3-5

Race 7

No. 3 Storm Comin Thru gets his second off the layoff for O’Neill and gets a big break in the weights with Van Dyke getting on for the ride, he will be making a late run, No. 8 Papa’s Paisley didn’t like the synthetic surface at the Gate and he didn’t like the grass, he gets back on the dirt and drops in class and will love this 7 furlong distance. 3-8

Race 8

THE 100K CRYSTAL WATER

No. 4 John Scott has had his problems but when he is right he can destroy a group like this, he won this race last year. No. 8 Ethnic Dance was last seen winning the Del Mar Derby last September, he looks ready to roll. 4-8

Race 9

Peter Miller sends out No. 8 Nothing to Hide who comes back to town from the Gate, she gets her first try on conventional dirt, No. 9 Galway Bay drops and gets off the grass, she will wake up. 8-9

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

In this wide open 4k claimer going a mile the hard trying Silvio Amador gets on No. 2 Stormin Along, who looks set for a top effort. 2

Race 2

This is one bad 8k maiden claimer, we will opt for No. 4 Cole Cole off the layoff with Baze getting the call. 4

Race 3

THE 100K CAMPANILE

Trainer Mike Puype brings in No. 3 Chati’s On Top who is proven on the grass, she has a sharp 5 furlong work and Joe Talamo comes along for the ride. 3

Race 4

No. 2 Golden Guy ran big in his first start finishing a solid second, No. 3 The Gray Hound moves from the barn of Jerry Hollendorfer to the barn of kid Sherman, he was beat at even money last time out and Baze sticks. 2-3

Race 5

No. 1 Tale Me No Secrets came off the layoff and won here in her first try on the grass, No. 3 Winona Louise is very consistent and has two wins on this course. No. 4 A little Luckier shipped in and got the job done when breaking her maiden on this mile turf course. 1-3-4

Race 6

No. 2 Power of Ten is always right there, No. 6 Tribal Torch beat 10 last time out by 3/4 of a length. 2-6

Race 7

THE 100K SILKY SULLIVAN

Lots of early speed in here so let’s go looking for a Silky Sullivan type, No. 7 Patriots Rule fits the bill perfectly and he also exits our HTW list, he will be coming from the clouds late, No. 8 Awesome Return also fits the bill as he will be flying late. No. 6 Eddie’s First also exits our HTW list off a crushing win down the hill last time out, he will be part of the speed brigade. 6-7-8

No. 4 Wonski comes off the 5 month layoff and moves in with straight maidens, her trainer must think she is doing great, Baze gets on first-time starter No. 6 Lady Swann who finds little to beat. 4-6

No. 3 Divine Josephine ran a big race when going long on the grass for the first-time, she will once again try and take them wire-to-wire, No. 4 Full Moon Princess just missed last time out when finishing second by a head. 3-4
