In this downhill turf sprint No. 3 Candy’s Sunrise gets his first start off the win going down the hill and the Jeff Mullins claim, trainer John Sadler sends out two runners in here with No. 4 Koast who was the 2/1 favorite against Candy last time out and No. 5 Spring Up who has been routing on the grass vs. better, he gets Nakatani back and Corey won with this 4yo colt three out of the four times he rode him and was second the other time. 3-4-5

No. 6 Dewrag gets a drop in class and will get a very fast early pace to launch his late run, the setup should be perfect as he gets his third start off the layoff, No. 3 Southern Sunrise exits our HTW list and will be the one to catch. 3-6

50k 2yo maiden fillies go 5 furlongs, No. 3 Positivo is out of the dam Quiet Optimism who has dropped four winners from four starters, Tyler will be gunning from the bell, after her you need to hit the all button or watch the early betting. 3

Kent D gets on No. 1 Sawyer’s Hill who went to the Gate and broke his maiden going this mile turf distance by more than six lengths, his connections really liked him last year, No. 2 Toowindytohaulrox has been going down the hill and will like the streachout to a mile. No. 4 Home Run Kitten has hit the board in all four of his turf starts here with two wins, he has a nice last work and looks the one to beat. No. 5 Argyle Cut is in from the Gate for a sharp barn and Nakatani gets the call. No. 6 Forever Juanito ran good in the Grade 3 Affirmed last out going 1-1/16 on the dirt, he can handle the grass and is on a win every other race pattern and this is his win race. No. 8 Home School finished a neck behind Home Run Kitten in his last race and now gets the top turf jock Elvis. In the end we will go home. 4-6

Race 6

No. 4 Mavericks Gun gets his first start off the O’Neill claim and a nostril loss going 7 furlongs, he will be making a big late run. Mike Smith gets on No. 8 Cinmars Dance who comes off the layoff for Eric Kruljac who can get one ready off the layoff. 4-8

Race 7

No. 3 You Know I Know gets his second start off the layoff and gets on the grass, he won here last year at this mile turf distance, No. 4 Unbridled Command would have crushed these at one time, he may not be the horse he once was but still could win this off the layoff. No. 5 County Lineman gets a new jock and back to a route, we look for a big effort today. The one time Gary Stevens rode No. 8 Smart Ellis he got the win and he gets back on today. 3-4-5-8

No. 4 Delta Flower has three wins from her four starts and she loves a battle up front, trainer Wesley Ward seems to be everywhere, he brings in No. 5 La Mejor Fiesta and Kent D gets the call, he won with this filly the one time he was on her. Jerry Hollendorfer who sends out Delta Flower also sends out No. 7 Fleet of Gold with Alex Solis getting the call, she will be making a late run at the speed. 4-5-7

Race 9

No. 3 Pouncerounddaclock ran a much better than looked race in her one and only going down the hill when finishing third, Joe Talamo gets the ride today and this filly exits our HTW list, No. 2 Venetian could be a nice price play as she gets turned back to a sprint in this, her second off the layoff and gets the hard trying Fernando Perez up for Carla Gaines. Gary Stevens sticks around for the last race and he gets back on No. 5 Alexis Tangier whose dam has dropped three winners from four starters and all three were turf winners. Mike Smith sticks around also and gets on the Tom Proctor first-time starter No. 8 Williams Bay a Kitten’s Joy filly and its interesting that Smith rode Alexis Tangier last time out and Stevens usually has first call for Proctor? 2-3**-5-8

No. 4 Suzie Baladon just may have found a group she can beat, she gets off the grass and drops back to her level. 4

No. 4 Turn Or Burn comes off the layoff, her last start was here almost a year to the day and she finished a good second, No. 7 Fashionably Rich comes off the maiden breaker at .50 cents on the dollar when Baze got on her, she will be the one to catch. 4-7

Race 6

2yo maidens go 5 furlongs, Baze gets on No. 1 Kool Vista whose dam has dropped two winners from two starters, No. 4 Lucky Forty Niner comes off a solid second at the gate going 4-1/2 furlongs. Juan Hernandez gets on first-time starter No. 5 Local Reason for Ed Moger, this filly looks live. No. 7 Grey Moon Runner had a very troubled first start and will go much better today. 1-4-5-7

Race 7

No. 4 Redstone could wake up today at this level, No. 5 On the Sunnyside looks very sneaky off the layoff and the price could be a good one. No. 8 Conundrum Pass was running against straight maidens at the Gate and now drops in with $12,500 maiden claimers. 4-5-8

No. 1 Footbridge is in from Santa Anita and is looking for his third straight win, No. 3 Summer Hit has won 11 of his 20 starts and will be battling it out on the front end. No. 6 Longview Drive is the stablemate of Summer Hit and will be the one that they will need to hold off down the lane. 1-3-6
