Another race where there is no real closer in a field loaded with early speed. No. 2 Athens just broke his maiden here at this distance after rating right off the front runner. No. 6 Oh Brother Go comes off the 10 month layoff and he looks ready to run. No. 8 Rainbow North can sit off the pace with Paco Lopez getting the leg up for Peter Miller. 2-6-8

Race 4

No. 2 Curlin Iron drops and goes long in start number 3, he is bred to go long. No. 7 Deep Digger drops in with maiden claimers for the first time and gets off the grass, he looks the one to beat. No. 8 Awesome Time will be the one to catch. 2-7-8

Race 5

No. 2 Jetbird drops back to the level of her last win and gets Pedroza back in the irons, he was on her for that win. No. 9 Big Honey Bee gets a huge drop in class. No. 11 Rossi Reserve is a 12 time winner, she was claimed back in April off a win here for $12,500 and now Bill Spawr brings her back for this $8k claiming price, all is not well with her but she can win on guts alone. 2-9-11

Race 6

This is a wide open maiden 2yo filly race going down the hill on the grass. No. 2 Promotional is by the good turf sire Artie Schiller and has the top connections of Van Dyke and Proctor. No. 6 Scattagirl is by the good turf sire Scat Daddy and she gets Bejarano. No. 7 Omorfi Kopella is also a Scat Daddy and No. 8 Jaded Glory is the stablemate of Promotional and she gets Mike Smith. 2-6-7-8

Race 7

Kent D and Bob Hell Jr. hook up with No. 2 Pressure Time second off the claim, he will like this 7 furlong distance. No. 3 Hold Everything is the speed and will take some catching if the track is playing to early speed. 2-3

In the one mile $75k Big Bear No. 6 Stryker Phd is in from Emerald Downs on a three race win streak and his jockey comes in for the ride. No. 7 Blue Tone won back to back at Del Mar but he has no dirt wins. No. 8 Regally Ready comes to town from Kentucky Downs for Steve Asmussen and Rosie gets the call. She has won with 2 of her 3 mounts here and this 7yo geldings has been facing tougher. 6-7-8

Down the hill they go, No. 4 Kool Kat was a very close 4th in her last start going down the hill. No. 5 Home Journey won sprinting on the grass in her only try last year with Mike Smith on, Mike was on Kool Kat last time and now gets on Home Journey. No. 10 Come To Heel is in from over the pond for trainer Wesley Ward and Dettori who is in for the BC races gets the call, he works say ready. 4-5-10

Race 10

No. 1 Scatajawea is a first time Scat Daddy out of the dam R Lucky Strike who has dropped 3 winners from 3 starters including a stakes winner. No. 9 I’ll Tell You What drops back in with maiden claimers and gets a turn back in distance and the hard trying Saul Arias gets the call. No. 12 Kat’s Hurricane moves up in class in this her second start and first on dirt. 1-9-12

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 1 Song of the Times is one of several today with Russell Baze on that look like short price winners.

Race 2

No. 1 Billiejeanthisisit will try and stop Baze from taking the early double with No. 2 Ongoing Appeal who is on a win every other race pattern and this is her win race. 1-2

Race 3

No. 1 Agustina De Aragon ships in for Andy Mathis and gets back on the grass. No. 4 Gotnaceupmysleeve is the speed and will be hard to run down. No. 5 Humming Beethoven gets Baze back and he won with the filly the last two times he was on her. 1-4-5

Race 4

Baze who looks like he can win every race sticks with No. 4 Heroically who he has won with in two out of three times he was aboard. No. 5 Shadow Runner will be part of the early pace. 4-5

Race 5

This just doesn’t seem fair for the rest of the jockeys here at Golden Gate as Baze gets on second time starter No. 5 Envahir who looks very live shipping in from Emerald Downs. No. 3 Grievous Angle and No. 4 Act Naturally are both out of the barn of Steve Miyadi who has success when running two in the same race. 3-4-5

Race 6

No. 1 First Flower won in her only start here with Ricardo Gonzalez riding and he gets back on today. No. 5 I Absolutely Will is another that ships in from Emerald, she gets a bid class drop and gets Baze who never gets tired. No. 6 Beautranda also ships in from Emerald and drops in class. 1-5-6

Race 7

Only 7 races today and yes Baze will ride in this the last race on No. 4 On Fiya who is in from Arlington Park and lands in the barn of his buddy Jerry Hollendorfer. No. 7 Tell Her Yes has run back to back good races here for Morey and looks the one to beat. No. 8 Rosie Brown ships in and has some good early foot.
