DEL MAR

Race 1

No. 2 Tatum’s Gold exits our HTW list and she never has run a bad race, she will sit right off the hot pace in this 6-1/2 furlong sprint and pounce down the lane. No. 3 Princess Bertrando exits the same race, she was second in the race. 2-3

Race 2

Fillies and mares go 1-3/8 on the grass in a real grab bag. No. 4 Shysheisnot has the looks of a filly that can get this distance, she is very consistent and gets a break in the weights with Van Dyke. 4

Race 3

Kent D and Bob Hess Jr. hook up with No. 3 Usbek Thunder first off the claim and this 5yo gelding finds little to beat in here. No. 4 Deep Play gets a huge drop in class and will be dangerous at this $8k level if half ok. A C Avila who lost Usbek Thunder at the claim box last time out sends out the very speedy No. 5 Broadway Nika who will be winging it on the front end playing catch me if you can. 3-4-5

Race 4

Tons of early speed in this 5 furlong turf sprint so we will opt for the ones that will be picking up the tiring speed. No. 2 Blake’s Magic who won her last start going down the hill. No. 5 Peppy Bolly who looks very sneaky at a price in here and No. 7 Harlington’s Rose who exits our HTW list will be flying late. 2-5-7

Race 5

No. 5 Intaxication comes off a nice win here on the 8th when sent off at 3/2. No. 8 Secret Command gets off the grass and won on this course back in July. 5-8

Race 7

Gary Stevens gets on No. 5 Gotham News for his buddy Tom Proctor who takes him off the grass and puts him on the poly, he may like it as he did in France where he was 2-for-2 on the synthetic surface.

Race 8

THE $100K RED CARPET GOING 1-3/8 ON THE GRASS

Trainer Graham Motion brings in No. 1Appealing Cat from Keeneland where she just did miss going 1-1/2 on the grass, Bejarano will ride. No. 4 Left a Message exits the same race and could wake up here today. No. 6 Bee Brave exits our HTW list off a very bad trip last out we will be using. No. 9 Lady Pimpernel is off the boat from over the pond where she won her last two starts at 1-1/4 on the grass. 1-4-6-9

Race 9

No. 1 Faringdon Circle has been well bet in all three of her races finishing 3rd and 2nd in the last two, the poly may be the answer and we will single in the late pick four. 1

Race 2

No. 3 Star Princess drops in for $8k seeking her level. No. 5 Nothing But Lucky has nice early speed and also gets the big drop in class. 3-5

Race 3

No. 1 T. D.’s Gold will get back in form with the drop and he is good here at this level. No. 5 Northern Force gets his second start off the claim and will be putting in a late run. 1-5

Race 4

They go 1-1/16 on the grass. No. 2 Candy’s Shoes ran good in his first try on this circuit and will be very tough in here. No. 6 Silver Flyer Just missed last out at 68/1 and could come  right back and get it done today. 2-6

Race 5

No. 1 America’s Promise drops, gets off the grass and back to a sprint and has a bullet work for this. No. 4 Ain’t Tellin’ is the speed and the one to beat. 1-4

Race 6

No. 5 Gotnaceupersleeve is very consistent and has some big early speed, she has six wins here. No. 9 Humming Beethoven will be the one to fear late. 5-9

Race 7

No. 3 Biltmore Boogie has finished second in his last three starts and now gets Juan Hernandez and that should get this one home on top. The main concern will be No. 8 Grazen’s Hope who has never been off the board here in his four starts with two wins a second and a third. 3-8

Race 8

We will go outside in this 5 furlong turf sprint using No. 9 Tiz Point who only needs to handle the grass to win this and No. 10 Sirocco Strike the class of the race who comes off more than a year on the shelf but that huge last work says he is ok and he is a proven sprinter on the grass with much better. 9-10

Race 9

In this very soft group of $8k maiden claimers No. 3 Ailani is a very live first time starter and the price will be right. The one that looks best of the ones that have run is No. 1 Kool Vista who has early speed and drops to his lowest level. 1-3
