No. 3 Valentine Boy was a fast closing 3rd in his last start here going 6 furlongs and now will get an extra half a furlong today and that should get this one home on top with the little drop in class, No. 4 Craving Carats gets off the grass and a turnback in distance and a huge drop in class, all is not well with this 4yo gelding but he is a must use. 3-4

Race 2

Maidens go 5 furlongs on the grass, Iggy and Aguirre hook up with first-time starter No. 2 Seattle Salt who looks fast, No. 5 Domino Johnson showed big early speed going down the hill at Santa Anita when running 3rd in a field of 10. Rosario who is in town gets on No. 7 Letaba for John Sadler, he ran a nice even race in his first start going down the hill. No. 8 Act is the stablemate of Letaba and is the one to beat off his last two starts. 2-5-7-8

Race 3

No. 3 Mistaken Identity will be out winging it on the front end in this 1-1/2 mile race, he could get very brave if left alone, No. 6 Prime Issue will fall into a nice stalking position and will get the jump on them turning for home. 3-6

Race 4

Gary Stevens gets his second shot with No. 1 I’ll Wrap It Up who had some trouble in his last start here on the 8th, No. 2 Number Five exits the same race, a race in which he was a solid second. Bejarano gets back on No. 3 Press Baron and he will be a solid threat at this level. 1-2-3

Race 5

No. 1 He’s a Bling drops in for a price for the first-time and that makes him a very tough foe in here, No. 3 Yes Yes Yes also gets the needed drop in for a tag and Mike Smith who was on He’s a Bling last time out opts for the gelding. 1-3

Race 6

THE GRADE III $150K CECIL B. DeMILLE

No. 3 Guilty who is in from over the pond has two works on this turf course and looks spotted well for Sadler, No. 6 Daddy D T is the stablemate of Guilty and he exits the Grade I BC Juvy turf where he ran a good 3rd in a field of 14. No. 9 Papacoolpapacool ran right behind Daddy D T in the Oak Tree juvy here back in September. No. 10 Conquest Typhoon was a head behind Daddy D T in the BC juvy turf. 3-6-9-10

Race 7

No. 2 Ferocious is very fast and consistent but can he handle the poly, No. 6 Rolling Fog won both of his starts here back in 2012 and then went on the shelf for 2 years, he has more bullets than an AK 47! No. 8 Midnight Hawk is the stablemate of Fog and has been facing the best 3yo around. 2-6-8

THE GRADE I $300K MATRIARCH

Rosario is in to ride No. 3 La Tia who is just blistering fast, she will try and take them wire-to-wire, Clement brings in No. 5 Discreet Marq and Irad Oritz Jr. strings along, this filly is one real runner. 3-5

Race 9

Maiden 2yo go 6-1/2 furlongs, Rosario sticks around to ride first-time starter No. 3 Blue Harbor for Bob Hess Jr., this 2yo has 5 works over the track and is very live, Mike Smith rode No. 4 Firing Line in his first start at Santa Anita when he was sent off at even money and finished a fast closing second and he exits our HTW list. 3-4

Race 1

No. 3 Shadow Runner is one for one here and his barn seems to never lose. 3

Baze and Morey hook up on No. 4 Rio Hondo who looks ready for a big race, No. 6 Ready to Jam is on a win every other race pattern and this is his win race. 4-6

No. 6 City Sensation gets her first start off the Morey claim and finds little to beat in this six horse field with the big jockey and barn switch. 6

No. 1 Humming Beethoven is in top form and has 2 wins and 2 seconds from her four starts on this turf course, No. 4 Gray Madam gets her first start of the Quinn Howey claim, beat her to cash. No. 6 Sheza Trip ran right behind the Gray Madam last time out and will be putting in a late run. 1-4-6

No. 2 Jacksons a Bobcat drops in with maiden claimers and has a bullet work for this, he will be very hard to beat at a short price, No. 3 Dane O Mite also gets the drop and he gets off the grass and a turnback to a sprint, he will wake up in this spot off some good works. No. 5 Justa Splash gets a little drop in class off a nice second last out. 2-3-5

Race 6

No. 3 New Nature ships in from Del Mar and gets on the grass, her one grass route was good enough to beat these, No. 7 Clever Expansion owns a win over this turf course. 3-7

THE GRADE III $100K BERKELEY

Hollendorfer sends out No. 8 G. G. Ryder who has 4 wins 1 second and 1 third from his six starts here, No. 1 Stryker Phd is one tough 5yo gelding who just missed in the Big Bear at Santa Anita, he was a bad fifth in this race last year but looks like a different animal this time around, we will give him a shot. 1-8

Race 8

Baze gets on the Jim Penny dropper No. 4 Stretch Home who looks good at this lower level, its him or pass. 4
