No. 1 Harlan’s Vitesse gets a double drop in class and will go much better today at a price, No. 8 When We Met comes off a nice win here and should be able to stand the hike. No. 12 Two Is to Many likes to win races and has big early speed. 1-8-12

Race 4

Elvis is riding good and he gets back on No. 1 My Samurai Warrior who was a close third under these conditions here on July 23rd, look for him late, No. 4 Love Rules All gets off the grass and drops in class and is on a win every other race pattern and this is his win race. No. 6 Conquest Two Step is a very dangerous Mark Casse Churchill shipper who is looking for the ship and win cash. No. 8 Raised a Secret finished a half a length in front of My Samurai last out and he gets his second off the layoff. 1-4-6-8

Race 5

Elvis gets on comebacker No. 4 Natural Stride for the low profile Martin Valenzuela, interesting, No. 6 Criminal Element ran a better than looked race last out in his first start. Bejarano gets on the Hollendorfer Golden Gate gelding No. 10 He’s On His Toes. Mike Smith sticks with No. 11 Next Book.  4-6-10-11

Love the last work in No. 1 Too Fast to Pass, if he runs to that work he will be right there, No. 3 Motown Men comes off the layoff but his works say that he is ready to fire a big shot. No. 10 Magic Beam will try and run them all down late. 1-3-10

2yo maiden fillies go 6-1/2 furlongs, No. 1 Manahatta is out of the dam Ermelinda who has dropped five winners from five starters, she has a bullet work here best of 65 on the 6th, we say YES! No. 3 Dad’s Princess is out of the dam Rooneys Princess who has dropped six winners from six starters and she sports a real nice last work. No. 4 Diva Express ran good in her first start which was on this surface and she was well bet. No. 5 Maybellene exits out HTW list off a solid third behind Diva last out, she will be the speed. 1-3-4-5

THE GRADE II JOHN C. MABEE 

No. 3 Wishing Gate exits our HTW list off a better than looked fourth last out when she did not get the best of trips, No. 6 Miss Serendipity comes off the layoff and a Grade I win. No. 2 Every Way comes to town for trainer Mike Stidham who has already won with two ship and win horses. 2-3-6

Kent D sticks around for the last race to ride his cousins Fairgrounds shipper No. 6 Hidden Zensation, he has a big shot in this very soft group of 20k maiden claimers. 6

SANTA ROSA

Race 2

No. 2 Sierra Electrica goes from the turf to the dirt and gets a top jock on the ship in, bet her to cash. 2

Race 3

Baze gets on the Steve Sherman shipper No. 3 Jack Diz who is in from Del Mar, No. 4 Angel Charge is out of the barn of Humberto Luma who has won with 5 of his 12 starters at the meet. No. 8 The Alameda Kid will try and run them all down late. 3-4-8

Win and place 8

Race 4

No. 4 Curious Spy just missed in his last start on the Sacramento Dirt and will be tough to beat in this race. 4

Race 5

No. 2 Always a Sunrise is sitting on the maiden breaker, No. 5 Celestial Image ships in and gets the drop trying to cash as does No. 7 Kaepernick. 2-5-7

Race 6

No. 1 Pulpit Hanna was just flying late in her first start going 4-1/2 furlongs, the extra furlong today should get her home on top, No. 4 Discreet Flirt started her career above her and now is in with maidens. No. 6 Estellara is the speed. 1-4-6

Race 7

No. 1 Wetherbee Lake has been on the grass one time and it was here at this distance and she got the win. 1

Race 8

Alvarado gets back on No. 4 Malibu Rum who will sit and try to run them down late in this 5 furlong turf sprint, No. 5 El Rey Fernando just missed at this turf distance in his last start here on the 3rd. 4-5

Race 9

THE 50K CAVONNIER JUVENILE

When Jerry Hollendorfer sends out a first-time starter in a race like this he doesn’t lose and he sends out first-time starter No. 5 Stand and Salute who has been working at Del Mar. 5

Race 10

Maidens go 1 mile on the grass, No. 7 Bertrane comes off the layoff, he just missed on the grass one race back and is the one to beat. 7
