DEL MAR

Race 1

No. 3 Kings Adventure almost got there with straight maidens here on July 19th and now drops in with $40k maiden claimers as Mullins goes for the win. No. 4 Silver Torch ran a good one here on July 31st, he will be right there today. 3-4

Race 2

$20k maiden fillies and mares. No. 6 Theatrical Cast could not handle the runaway winner last out but did finish second beating the other 9 in the race. No. 10 L X Sunrise has been stuck in second gear the last six straight races, maybe the move to the poly and the drop will get her home on top. 6-10

Double

1st 3-4

2nd 6-10

Race 3

At one time No. 3 Mr. Commons would have been even money to beat this crew, he gets the big class drop off the layoff, this could be just a prep for bigger. No. 8 Forest Mouse also has some big back class and could upset at a big price. 3-8

Race 4

No. 2 One Magical Girl likes this track and is set for her best second off the layoff. No. 8 Spring Breeze gets her second off the layoff and a very bad trip in her last start. 2-8

Race 5

No. 1 My Slew comes off a nice win here at this 6-1/2 furlong distance. Kent D rides once again for his cousin Keith on No. 2 Bull Dozer and they have pulled off two good ones at the meet. No. 5 Holy Lute just missed by a nostril here in his last start, he won here last year at this distance. No. 7 Airfoil gets off the grass and back to a sprint, look for him to get back on track. 1-2-5-7

Double

4th 2-8

5th 1-2-5-7

Race 6

THE $90K SANDY BLUE HANDICAP 1 MILE ON THE GRASS

No. 8 Istanford took them wire-to-wire here in the Grade II San Clemente and has two solid works since. No. 11 Wonderfully is in from Belmont for trainer Proctor and big race Mike Smith gets the call. 8-11

Race 7

Just a 7 race card this Friday night and we end with $20k maiden fillies and mares going 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 5 Best in Class ran a good race here last August if she can run back to that race she can win off the 11 month layoff. No. 11 Natal gets her second start for Sadler and she gets the big break in the weights with Van Dyke getting the leg up, she looks the one to beat. 5-11

Pick four

4th 2-8

5th 1-2-5-7

6th 8-11

7th 5-11

GOLDEN GATE – OPENING DAY

Race 1

We start the meet with five entered going a mile on the grass and this could be what the meet looks like as Juan Hernandez and Baze both get on the top two contenders in the race with Hernandez on No. 3 Sky Tribute and Baze on No. 5 Blue Blizzard. 3-5

Race 2

We get six entered in this $16k maiden claimer for fillies and mares. Baze and Morey hook up on first time starter No. 4 Hevenhelper and this 3yo looks ready to roll. 4

Race 3

No. 1 Baltimore Boogie has a big last work here on the 10th and loves this synthetic turf course. 1

Race 4

No. 4 Soul Saver finds a field with a ton of early speed, he should get a great set up from off the pace.

4

Race 5

Just another short field as we get six going 1-1/16 on the grass. No. 5 Top Tizzy is the speed and the drop in class makes her tough in here to catch. 5

Race 6

We get a field of ten $25k maiden claiming 2yo fillies going 5 furlongs. No. 2 Tell Her Yes is out of the dam Alternate Verse who has dropped 6 winners form 6 starters. No. 8 Kimalea gets her second start, she will be making a late run. 2-8

Race 7

No. 2 Divine Josephine continues her drop in class and may have found her correct level in this $8k maiden claimer. No. 9 Bellanza gets a big drop in class. 2-9

Race 8

No. 2 Cant Do the Danse broke his maiden here going this mile turf distance. No. 6 Lord of Ballandrae has a win and a second from his two turf starts on this course as does No. 11 Myaggisawildcat. No. 12 Blu Jon ran good in two of his three starts going down the hill at Santa Anita versus much stronger. 2-6-11-12
