Race 1

They go 5 furlongs on the grass. No. 1 Ankeny Hill tried to take them wire-to-wire on this 5 furlong course on July 18th but got caught late, he will be gunning from the rail. No. 3 Snowday ran two good races going down the hill at Santa Anita and should love this course. 1-3

Race 2

The question in this race is who will go to the front as there is little early speed. No. 11 Germany Bay comes here in good form and gets his first start off the claim and he has some early speed. No. 1 Mavericks Gun comes off a good win here and could show more speed from the rail. No. 6 Los Bambinos drops in this his third off the layoff and could be ready for a good run. 1-6-11

Race 3

No. 7 Ashleyluvssugar gets off the grass and goes long in this his second off the layoff, he exits our HTW list and Bejarano signs on for the ride. No. 8 Prime Issue is in tip top form and gets his first start off the Hollendorfer claim. 7-8

Race 4

No. 6 Loufoque comes off the layoff for papa Mandella, she finished second in both of her starts last year at Santa Anita and both were going lone on the grass. She has put two good 7 furlongs works in here and she is ready to fire big. No. 8 Penny Sixpence showed good early speed in her first in the country back in June at Santa Anita, she will be a much tighter fill today. 6-8

Race 5

Maiden 2yo fillies go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 1 Don’t Blame Me ran a good one in her one and only start at Los Al and she has a nice work here. No. 3 Elementar is out of the dam Val Marie who has dropped 5 winners from 5 starters including a stakes winner. Trainer Cody Autrey put one over on Wednesday with a first time starter that was 12-1 in the morning line and left the gate at 5/2 and won like the money dictated and he sends out first time starter No. 9 Sandy’s Song with Kent D riding and he was on his winner on Wednesday. Autrey hits at almost 40% with his first time starters. 1-3-9

4th 6-8

5th 1-3-9 and win and place 9

Race 6

No. 3 Tiz Midnight finally put it all together when breaking her maiden by 11 lengths last out. No. 5 Fleet of Gold may finally be putting it together for Hollendorfer. No. 9 Front Range is the stablemate of Tiz and may like it here. No. 10 Downton My Lady broke her maiden first out of the box and now will go long and is bred for this. 3-5-9-10

Race 7

No. 2 Benba ran second here in his last race on July 18th his early speed will keep him in the hunt a long time, trainer Hess and jockey Kent D have been hot here and they hook up with No. 4 Crusher. 2-4

Race 8

No. 2 Iotapa blasted them in the Grade I Vanity at Santa Anita in her last start, she can handle any surface. No. 5 More Chocolate ran second in this race last year and Sadler has been pointing her for this race. 2-5

Race 9

No. 2 Conscience ran a solid second in his first start at Santa Anita and is the one to beat if able to handle the poly track. No. 6 Turnover exits our HTW list off a narrow loss here on July 19th when flying late after a slow start to lose by a dwindling neck. 2-6

No. 3 Big Wags gets his second start off the Bill Spawr claim, he is very live in here. We will take out shot and single in the late pick four. 3

Win and place 3

Race 3

The very sneaky Quinn Howey brings in No. 1 Tiz True Love, she is a must bet in here. 1

Win 1

Race 4

2yo fillies go a mile on the grass, No. 3 Candy Causeway is a first time starter who is bred for the grass and Baze gets the call. 3

Race 5

Quinn Howey sends out No. 1 Old Standard, ran third here last year. 1

Win and place 1

Race 6

Most of these are proven losers so we will opt for No. 1 Lastchancesaloon who has just two races and was well bet in both. 1

Race 7

5 furlongs on the grass, No. 2 Star Rocker won going this turf distance at Del Mar last year against much tougher, he is not the same colt but should handle these albeit at a short price. No. 5 Exotic Slew cannot be counted out as he won at this five furlong turf distance at Golden Gate. 2-5

Race 8

Quinn Howey sends out No. 4 Down Town Clyde and the price will be right. 4

Win and place 4

Race 9

Trainer Marty Jones brings in No. 2 Mister Wonka who just broke his maiden at Santa Anita going 1-1/16 on the grass in his first grass attempt. Carr gets back on No. 3 Reno Rebel who won on the grass at this distance one race back when Carr was on. No. 4 Sea Preacher is the speed and will be playing catch me if you can. 2-3-4

Race 10

$25k maiden fillies and mares go 1 mile on the grass. No. 7 Come On Fire exits a productive race as the filly who ran second came right back and won next out. 7
