DEL MAR

Race 1

No. 1 Rosewhitenblue gets her second start off the Avila claim and a boast in class off her good third here on July 23rd, no works since though are a concern and the stretchout to a mile. No. 4 Thermal Nermal looked good winning here on July 20th when going this distance and now gets the move up off the claim and she will need to deal with the other big speed in this race No. 7 No Tricks for Jack who has won two of her three starts here. 1-4-7

Race 2

They get back to the grass after some time trying to get the hardness out of the course. Mark Casse sends out the Churchill Downs shipper trying to reap some of the extra ship and win cash in No. 1 Spring Action with Stewart Elliott. Trainer Julio Canani who finally got a win here this past Wednesday sends out No. 7 Snuggley Bear who has run will in all three of his turf starts. No. 8 Wicked Finance exits our HTW list off a much better than looked effort last out. 1-7-8

Race 3

No. 2 Pressure Time gets off the grass and gets back to a sprint, he will find a fast early pace to make his last run and the price will be right. 2

Race 4

No. 1 Calculator ran a nice race in his first start when going 5 furlongs, he goes 6-1/2 today and that will help his chances. No. 2 Iron Fist exits the same race and finished right behind Calculator and this extra distance will also help him out. Baffert sends out first time starter No. 4 One Lucky Dane whose dam Echo Harbor has dropped 4 winners from 4 starters, sired by Lookin At Lucky this 2yo colt went for $490k, Bejarano who is starting to heat up gets the call. Baffert also sends out first time starter No. 6 American Pharoah who has been looking for a spot. 1-2-4-6

Race 5

THE GRADE III LA JOLLA

No. 5 Tonito M. has been all over the country trying to notch his first win in the states, he looks to have found a good spot today. No. 1 Argyle Cut just missed to No. 6 Enterprising by a neck here on opening day in the Oceanside. 1-5-6

Race 6

2yo maiden fillies go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 8 Long Hot Summer sports a very nice 4 furlong work here on the 4th, she looks ready to run. Trainer Kory Owens can pop with a first time starter and he sends out No. 10 Ticaboo who could pop at a price. 8-10

Race 7

No. 2 Mum’s Truckee ran a solid second here on July 20th when 1-3/4 of a length in front of the third place finisher the Lightly race No. 5 Sweet Profit who gets her second off the layoff for Sadler. No. 6 Taste Like Candy was facing much stronger at Santa Anita earlier in the year and now she makes her comeback for Hollendorfer. No. 10 Suzy Malibu took a trip to Belmont Park after breaking her maiden at first asking at Santa Anita, if she can handle the poly she will be tough in here. 2-5-6-10

Race 8

No. 4 Boozer looked good winning here in his last start, he has a good work since. No. 8 Kulik Lodge comes off the layoff for Tom Proctor, Mike Smith gets the call, if he runs to his works he wins. 4-8

Exacta box 4-8 and win and place 8

Race 9

Bajarano gets on No. 8 Sir Barclay, he will go much better today. No. 9 Secret Wishes made a big closing run here in his last start and has a good work since. No. 10 Omar Little is in top form. 8-9-10

Race 10

No. 5 Ryleigh Ruler ran a good race here last year on the poly. Trainer Oscar Garcia has put back-to-back 7 furlong works into No. 6 Italian Harmony for this 1-1/16 race. 5-6

SANTA ROSA

Race 3

In this $8k maiden claimer No. 5 Nellie Gail looks best off her good second when put on the dirt last out going this mile distance. 5

Race 4

Baze has ridden No. 1 Win It to Be In three times and won all three times, he is on again today. 1

Race 5

Maiden fillies and mares go a mile on the grass. No. 4 Bourbon N Burley couldn’t handle straight maidens on the grass at Del Mar so he tries these much easier foes and gets the blinkers on. No. 7 My Lady’s Holiday will be the main concern with Baze riding for his old buddy Hollendorfer. 4-7

Race 6

No. 2 Perfect Indication goes sprint-route-sprint and his trainer hits at 40% with this move. No. 7 Bev’s Finale gets his second off the layoff and the slight drop will help his chances. 2-7

Race 7

Peter Miller brings in No. 1 Garen from Del Mar for this mile turf race, Baze says he will ride. No. 6 Morally Bankrupt will get a fast early pace to make his late run. 1-6

Race 8

No. 1 Coast Guard Rescue is a perfect 2-for-2 here at Santa Rosa, he must like the wine. No. 3 Rathgar just missed here ten days ago. 1-3

Race 9

THE $50K JESS JACKSON OWNERS HANDICAP

They go 5 furlongs on the grass in the Jess Jackson. No. 3 A Toast to You just missed in the $50k Albany at the Gate on the grass at this 5 furlong distance when getting beat on the wire by No. 5 Moonshine Bay. No. 8 Pure Tactics comes in form Del Mar on a two race win steak. 3-5-8

Race 10

No. 6 Vodkatariat looks to be sitting on the maiden breaker and with the drop to this level should get  him home on top.
