No. 1 The Mad Hungarian was scratched last weekend when they actually brought up the wrong horse, he gets his first start off the Peter Miller claim, Tyler will be gunning from the bell. Ron Ellis claimed No. 3 North Pacific back in January for $12,500 and it’s a good sign that he brings him back in this $25k claimer, he has a nice last work and Ellis hits at over 30% with horses coming off of a layoff of 46-90 days. Doug O’Neill drops No. 4 Thesheetsguy off the win but he hits at 33% dropping off the win. No. 5 Carlot Cowboy won the last time he was at this level and he will be our play. 5

Race 2

No. 2 Sacred Ovation is in top form and the speed of the speed. No. 4 Senor Rain loves this 7 furlong distance as he moves on up the ladder. No. 7 Nextdoorneighbor will fall into a stalking position and should get a piece of the pie. 2-4-7

Race 3

No. 1 Smart Ellis continues to drop in class and may have found his level, he will get a hustling ride by Iggy. No. 8 Relentless Heat gets his second start at this level. No. 3 So Elite is in from the Gate for top trainer Andy Mathis, he could be the speed. 1-3-8

Race 4

THE PASADENA GOING 1 MILE ON THE GRASS

No. 1 Bench Warrant is undefeated in his two turf starts down the hill, he can get this mile distance. No. 2 Daddy D T was unlucky to lose his last start when getting out gamed by No. 4 Papacoolpapacool. 1-2-4

Race 5

No. 4 Hard Night’s Day was last seen running at Keeneland last April. She finds her way into the barn of Jerry Hollendorfer and Gary Stevens gets the leg up, she has a nice last work for this her first try on dirt. No. 7 Explicable lost her last race at .80 cents on the dollar, she will be short again but Bejarano sticks. No. 9 Exposure is a first time starter for Baffert, she is out of the dam Cinderellaslipper who has dropped 4 winners from 4 starters, Baffert’s main man gets the ride. No. 10 Vivacious Beauty ran right behind Explicable last out her first off the layoff, she could get the jump on all of them today. No. 11 Betterlethergo is a first time starter for trainer Michael McCarthy, this filly is out of the dam Tussle who has dropped 5 winners from 5 starters, she has a real nice last work. 4-7-9-10-11

Race 6

Maiden 3yo fillies go down the hill. No. 8 Vow Me Over ran a better then looked 4th in her one try down the hill, she is in top form coming off a near miss going a mile on the dirt in her last start at this level. No. 9 Ya Ya Girl is bred for the grass and could wake up at a big price. No. 12 Dragon Eyes a Candy Ride filly is a first time starter who draws Kent D, she has a nice last work. 8-9-12

Race 7

No. 2 Courageous Call gets back to 6 furlongs the distance of her last win. No. 9 Crushed Velvet was last seen running in the Grade II Santa Yanez back in 2014, finishing 3rd at .90 cents on the dollar, all has not gone well. No. 10 Walk With An Angel ran last May going 1-1/16 on the grass at Belmont finishing third, she lands in the barn of Hollendorfer, this looks like a prep. 2-9

Race 8

THE GRADE II SAN LUIS REY AT A 1-1/2 ON THE GRASS

No. 4 Power Foot owns a win here at this distance. No. 6 Joes Blazing Aaron is the speed, he gets his first start off the $62,500 Hess claim and Joe Talamo will ride Joe. No. 8 Finnegans Wake is looking for his 4th straight win, his last three wins have come at 1-1/2, 1-1/8 and a 1-1/4, bet him to cash. 4-6-8**

Race 9

3yo $30k maiden claimers go 7 furlongs. No. 9 Captain G gets a big jockey upgrade, he has run good in his last two route races and looks the one to beat in this very weak field. This field is so bad that first time starter No. 10 Pax Tecum could make a run. No. 12 Bandido Too needs a patient ride, he got spent early in his last start and now Bejarano gets the call, look for him to sit this time. No. 14 Captain Carchy has finished second in his last two starts at this 7 furlong distance. 9-10-12-14

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 1 Slide Away ran his best race last out when dropped to this level. No. 2 Sacrificial Action ships in and lands in the barn of Steve Sherman, this gelding gets a huge drop in class. 1-2

Race 2

No. 3 North Star Fame is on a win every other race pattern, he gets a drop in class and will find a fast pace to make his late run, we will single. 3

Race 3

Baze and Hollendorfer hook up with first time starter No. 2 Gentle Caroline who finds a soft group of straight maiden fillies. 2

Race 4

No. 4 Pete’s Slew comes back to town after an unsuccessful try down the hill at Santa Anita, jockey Alvarado just missed with him here one race back. No. 5 Wildfire Kid and No. 6 Next Speaker both look tough in here. 4-5-6

Race 5

Once again No. 2 Prima Gianna is the speed in here but this time she drops and gets the muscle. No. 4 Special Summer will try and run her down. 2-4

Race 6

No. 3 Friendswith K Mill ships in looking for the win but will find the Hollendorfer duo of No. 5 Life is a Joy and No. 6 Hear the Ghost tough. 3-5-6

Race 7

No. 3 Wild Delilah will try and get some redemption form he last loss at 9/5. No. 4 Milady Maid finished a nostril behind the Wild Delilah last out. 3-4

Race 8

No. 1 Intermix loves this course with 2 wins and 2 seconds from his four starts since coming her from Canada. No. 2 Hurricane Lake is in top form and the main danger. No. 5 Yomybato was a nose behind Hurricane Lake one race back. 1-2-5

Race 9

This is one bad field of $4k claimers as they have won a total of 8 races from 135 starts. No. 7 Where’s the Proof drops in class and at least he is 1 for 8 with a 2nd a 3rd, he will be our play. 7
