No. 1 Lust for Life gets her first start off the Ron Ellis claim and shows a real nice 4 furlong work here on the 18th, she looks ready to roll. No. 3 Smooth Talker gets back on the dirt where she won by 7 lengths one race back. 1-3

The go down the hill and we will stay on the far outside in this the fourth leg of the players picky five using No. 10 Mythical Storm who is 1-for-1 down the hill. No. 11 Hot Market who finished a good second behind Bobby Z Man in his last start and No. 12 Know Plans the price play off the layoff. 10-11-12

In this $20k maiden claimer first time starter No. 3 Hallucinator looks live at a price. No. 8 Somethingaboutnick is the speed. No. 9 Show and Tell is a first time starter for trainer Vann Belvoir and for some reason gets Bejarano in the irons. 3-8-9

No. 8 Paulina’s Love had a toss out race last time out when hung out to dry form her 12 post, she will show all of her early speed today and she exits our HYW list. No. 12 Jaycee’s Humor exits the same race as Paulina and she was a close 4th. 5-8-12

No. 3 Olympic Lady comes off the layoff for trainer Victor Garcia, she lost by a nostril last year in her 2yo debut and now returns. No. 4 Filly On Fire showed some promise last year as a 2yo and now she makes her 3yo debut, we like them both. 3-4

Race 1

No. 5 Kingsbury drops back to the level of his last win and finds little to beat. No. 6 Takin a Dip looks the main danger off his win last out going this mile distance. 5-6

No. 4 Tight Lines has run back to back good races here and now Frank Alvarado will try and get her home on top. 4

Race 3

No. 4 Nice’n Sunny will find a fast early pace in this mile turf race to make his late run. No. 6 Eldorado Prado exits the same race and has won 3 times on this turf course. No. 8 Misdeed comes back to town and the one time he was here he got the win and it was at this mile turf distance. 4-6-8

The hot riding David Lopez sticks with No. 1 Tribal Delight who will get a great rail trip. No. 2 Alert in Class ran second behind Tribal Delight last time out and will try and turn the tables today. Baze got on No. 3 French Tart last time out and got her home for the easy win. 1-2-3

Race 5

$20k maiden claimers go 1-1/16 on the grass. The 5yo No. 5 Starzilla started his career getting his second start back in 2013 at Del Mar going 1 mile on the grass. He finally gets back on the grass today as he ships in from Santa Anita, we think today is his day. 5

Race 6

No. 1 Arbeja gets the huge drop in class as they go for the win. No. 2 She’s a Charmer gets her second try at this level and Juan Hernandez takes over. Both No. 4 Stylish Copy and No. 5 Branjammas Too drop a notch and both have good early speed. 1-2-4-5

Race 7

THE $100K GRADE III SAN FRANCISCO MILE TURF

No. 1 G.G. Ryder has won 3 of his 4 starts here on the grass. No. 6 Summer Hit is the stablemate of Ryder and he is a real pro winning 11 of his 22 starts. No. 7 Pepper Crown loves this turf course winning 3 of 6 with 3 seconds. Trainer Graham Motion ships in the classy No. 8 Edge of Realty and Drayden Van Dyke comes in for the ride. 1-6-7-8

Race 8

No. 3 Cast in Silver comes off the layoff, she did little wrong last year with 2 wins and 2 seconds from her four starts. The speedy No. 4 Hail Mary also comes off the layoff for trainer D’Amato, that last works says WOW and we will single and go for the Hail Mary. 4

Race 9

The big day at the Gate ends with a very tough mile turf race. Trainer Graham Motion also brought No. 5 Helm in for the ride, he gets back on the grass and could wake up at a price, Van Dyke sticks. The good turf jockey Brice Blanc comes in with the Neil Drysdale runner No. 7 Montego Bay, he looks very live. 5-7
