Race 13: $1.5 million up for grabs in the Grade I Preakness Stakes and all eyes will be on No. 1 American Pharoah who many feel can win the triple crown, though I am not among the many. He will be hard to beat in this race as Baffert has won here five times and of those five he won each time his horse won the Kentucky Derby, so how can we make some cash on this race? Maybe we can take a shot with a trifecta keying No. 1 American Pharoah first and second with No. 2 Dortmund and No. 8 Firing Line and then just in case make a box in the exacta and trifecta 1-2-8 and then we will go this way 1 with 2-8 with all in the tri and super’s hoping maybe the 30/1 shot No. 5 Tale of Verve will be flying late for a piece….GOOD LUCK

Race 1: Just another short field in the first race, No. 1 Seek Safe Harbor is the speed on the inside coming off a blowout win in her last start. She has never won two straight races and gets a boast back up in class. No. 6 Erte will sit ready to pounce down the lane. 1-6

Race 2: We get six fillies going 7 furlongs, No. 2 Tara’s Tango gets her second off the layoff for Hollendorfer and Mike Smith, she will like this distance. Baffert sends out No. 5 Fantastic Style who just finished a good second when leading all the way in the Grade II Beaumont at Keeneland, that last work says WOW, she will be out playing catch me if you can. No. 4 Moons Over Me just missed going down the hill last out and she will be making a late run. 2-4-5

Race 3: Speaking of down the hill, well down the hill they go, No. 8 Atta Boy Pete could be a nice price play on the big move up in class as he gets his first start off the D’Amato claim. He will be showing all of his early speed and could set things up for his stablemate and big closer No. 7 Know Plans who exits our HTW list, he came flying down the lane off the layoff when sent down the hill in his last start. No. 1 Synnin exits the same race as Know Plans and he has finished second in both of his starts down the hill. 1-7-8

Exacta box 1-7-8 and win and place 7

Race 4: We get six fillies and mares going a mile on the dirt, No. 1 Sky Mega will try and take them wire-to-wire from her rail post. No. 6 D’ya Knowwhatimean bobbled at the start to lose her best shot in her comeback race, she will be stretched out but showed she could handle 7 furlongs last year so a mile will be no problem. 1-6

Race 5: $20k maidens go 7 furlongs, No. 11 Stepsun gets his second start off the layoff and off a troubled last trip, we look for a big effort today, we will take our shot and single. 11

Win and place 11

Race 6: A rare 5 furlong spring handicap event for fillies and mares who have started for $16k or less since last March 1st. No. 4 Lucky Student went wire-to-wire here in her last start going 6 furlongs. No. 5 Peppy Bolly likes this course and could be a nice price coming from off the pace. 4-5

Race 7: Maidens, fillies and mares go down the hill, No. 1 Lily Kai is bred for the trip and has a nice last work, she gets the good turf jock Brice Blanc. No. 12 Big Move gets her second start and first on the grass, she gets a good post for this and has some breeding that suggest she will take to this trip and Mike Smith sticks. 1-12

Race 8: $40k maidens, fillies and mares go 6-1/2 furlongs on the dirt. No. 9 Mum’s Forest is first time starter out of the barn of Peter Miller, she looks very live with Tyler in the irons. Race 9: No. 3 Imwiththeblonde exits our HTW list, she ran big off the layoff and then took 56 days off to recover but came back with a big work here on the 9th. No. 5 Suzy Malibu was last seen back in June of 2014 finishing a good 3rd at Belmont Park, she gets Bejarano for her comebacker. 3-5

Race 10: Starter allowance runners go a mile on the grass. No. 6 Neptune’s Spear is in from Tampa Bay off an easy maiden win on the grass going 1-1/16, he moves into the barn of John Sadler and just may like it here. Sadler also sends out No. 7 Commander King who gets Kent D in the irons, he broke his maiden going a mile on the grass on this course. Mark Casse brings in No. 12 Mister Blue from Tampa looking for some of that ship and win cash. 6-7-12

Race 11: This is one ugly race to end the day. No. 10 Grammy Times Six drops in class and at least owns a win over the course. No. 14 Say’s Who also drops in class in this her second off the layoff, Maldo will be gunning from the bell. When Kent D sticks around to ride the last race we take note and he gets on No. 9 Spoiledandentitled who comes back to town from the Gate, we will be using as the last time this mare won was when Kent was on her. 9-10-14

Race 1: Five runners in this $8k maiden claimer. No. 2 Redneck Girl is a Steve Sherman first time starter who gets the hot riding David Lopez, after that it’s any of the other four. 2

Race 2: At least we get six runners in this $8k claimer for 3yo fillies. No. 1 Hugsforhennyhall gets back to the distance of her win. No. 3 Walloping Lula gets off  the grass, drops in class, gets back to a sprint and gets Baze. 1-3

Race 3: Maiden $12,500 3yo fillies go a flat mile and we get just six runners once again. No. 3 Down Low Mama ran good for $20k going this distance on the grass. No. 4 Guia also gets off the grass and if she can run her race one back on the main she will be tough. 3-4

Race 4: We get $25k maiden 3yo fillies going 6 furlongs. Jeff Bonde brings in No. 7 Really a Princess in from Santa Anita where she finished second for a $50k tag, she took 51 days off and now gets the drop and will be way over bet but can win. Race 6: $20k maidens go 1 mile on the grass. No. 3 Dually Affirmed is in from Santa Anita and gets back on the grass. No. 9 Starzilla looks odds on with these off his last start. 3-9

Race 7: Baze gets back on No. 3 Alpine Gathering. Lopez gets back on No. 4 Relentless Warrior who he took wire-to-wire one race back. No. 7 Kings Adventure drops to a better level. 3-4-7

Race 8: Maiden 3yo fillies go a mile on the grass. No. 2 Dark Channel is a first time English Channel filly whose works say she can run. No. 6 Tizakay gets her first start since moving into the barn of Jerry Hollendorfer, we look for a big late run. Hollendorfer also sends out No. 9 All The Glitters who gets Baze in this her second try on the grass. 2-6-9

Exacta box 2-6-9

Race 9: No. 1 Porteous gets a huge rider upgrade for her second start in the states. No. 2 Voler Les Coeurs came in from Tampa and got the win last out, she could repeat. 1-2

Race 10: The day ends at the Gate with straight maidens going 6 furlongs. Today could be the day for No. 3 Derrymore who has finished 3rd in all three of his starts. No. 4 Midnight Rambler tried going 5 furlongs on the grass in his first start, he took plenty of action in that race. David Lopez gets on first time starter No. 9 Holdthismiss for Morey, he is very live. No. 10 Sunday Pulpit gets his second off the layoff and will try and take them wire-to-wire.
