SANTA ANITA

Race 1

Trainer Jerry Hollendorfer sends out two of the five runners in this race and we will opt for No. 5 All Star Bub who has a nice last work and gets Bejarano back in the irons. 5

Race 2

No. 1 Bluegrass Reward has a pace advantage in here but the move to the low profile barn is a concern. No. 3 When We Met comes off a good win here at this distance. 1-3

Race 3

THE GRADE II CHARLES WHITTINGHAM

Todd Pletcher ships in No. 1 Divine Oath who won his only start going this 1-1/2 distance on the grass. Like the mile work that Richard Mandella put into No. 3 Ganesh, he is sitting on a big one. 1-3

Race 4

No. 2 MacKenzies Moment gets a drop in class and Elvis gets the call. No. 7 Stella Moon has good early speed and now Bejarano says he will get her home. Baffert has seen enough and now drops No. 10 Exposure into a maiden claimer as the Shaw threw $310k out the window. 2-7-10

Race 5

No. 2 Tiz Josselyn ran a nice even race in her one and only and can only improve on that start. No. 8 Girl Downstairs has been well bet in her two starts, she has good early speed. 2-8

Race 6

No. 4 Roman Tizzy drops in class and that will wake this 6yo gelding up. No. 5 Brando the Birdman was claimed for $32k off a good win and now drops in with $20k company. Spawr did not like what he purchased and now looks to recoup some of his investment. 4-5

Race 7

$75k maidens go down the hill. The hot Phil D’Amato sends out No. 7 Larry Birdstone who ran ok vs winners last out. No. 11 Ultra Sharp ran ok in his one try going down the hill with straight maidens.

7-11

Race 8

No. 7 Go First gets his second off the long layoff, he moves into a top barn and will find a fast pace to make his late run. No. 9 Tannersmymuscle will also be making a late run. 7-9

Race 9

Maidens go a flat mile on the grass. No. 1 Solomon Northup gets back on the grass where he just missed one race back. No. 2 Perfectly Majestic just missed by a neck when going down the hill in the $75k race with winners. No. 3 Architop has been right there in both of his turf races and just missed by a nostril at this mile distance last time out. 1-2-3

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

Today looks the day for No. 2 Red N Black Attack off his near miss last time out.

2

Race 2

No. 2 Jakob’s Magic starts his move back up the class ladder off of back to back scores. No. 4 Blu Jon back on the synthetic surface where he has won 3 of 4 starts with a second. 2-4

Race 3

3yo $20k maiden fillies go 1-1/16 on the grass. The bug girl Amelia Green comes in with No. 1 Delaney’s Joy who will only need to beat No. 6 Tight Lines. 1-6

Race 4

No. 6 Photo Shopped has been very unlucky in his last 3 of 4 starts as he has just missed by a nose twice and a neck the other time. 6

Race 5

No. 2 Gnarly Dude is in good form and does own a win on the grass. No. 3 Next Speaker droops and has won two times sprinting on the grass. Baze gets back on the speedy No. 4 Barrel Knot who will try and wire them. 2-3-4

Race 6

No. 1 Just After Sunset drops to a level that makes her very dangerous. No. 5 Flying With Sully also will be right there at this level. 1-5

Race 7

No. 4 The Great Caper is in from Turf Paradise where he won 3 of his six turf starts. No. 5 Foolhardy gets his first start off the Jack Steiner claim, look for a big effort today. Baze and Hollendorfer hook up with the old pro No. 7 Sandor who will be running late. 4-5-7

Race 8

No. 3 Vegas Luck comes back to the spot of her maiden breaker. No. 8 Kat’s Hurricane looks the winner at this level. 3-8

Race 9

No. 2 Tabor’s Harmony is a first time Hollendorer with a nice work and Baze riding. No. 5 Azia Brown has run huge in her two starts and is the one to beat. No. 8 Yet Anotherkafwain will be the price play off a very troubled trip first out. 2-5-8
