The winner of this race will be assured of a spot in this years Breeders’ Cup and they could only must up five runners. OH WELL! No. 3 Midnight Storm looked impressive winning her prep for this and he will be the one to run down. Bill Mott ships in No. 4 Seek Again off a big effort last out in the Grade I Turf Classic at Churchill Downs and Jose Lezcano comes in for the ride. No. 5 Bal a Bali exits our HTW list off an eye catching win first in the country last out in the Grade III American here, he has won 12 of his 13 starts. This is one great race with just five runners. 3-4-5
We go from a Grade I $400k race to $8k claimers going 6-1/2 furlongs. No. 3 Como Mi Padre may wake up with the drop in class. No. 5 Relentless Heat is 0-10 here at Santa Anita on the dirt but fits with these and is must use in the exotics. No. 6 Frensham finds his way into the barn of Bob Hess and he gets the big drop in class and Van Dyke gets the call. No. 7 My Slew is another who drops second off the $16k claim, not a good sign. Peter Miller drops No. 9 Coolington off the win for a price tag of $10k. 3-5-6-7-10

THE $100K GRADE III ADORATION
The ultra classy No. 4 Beholder comes back off a minor setback, she is the class and the one to beat but may not be cranked up and will be odds on. No. 5 Warren’s Veneda lost at .10 cents on the dollar last out, she will try and redeem herself. 4-5
The day ends with maiden fillies and mares going down the hill. No. 1 Unusual Storm is one of those Unusual Heat off spring who is bred to love this trip and has a nice last work. No. 3 Lily Kai broke slow in her first race and will go better today. No. 7 Big Move just missed by a head going down the hill last out and is the one to beat. 1-3-7
No. 1 Alpine Gathering gets Baze back and one race back he got nipped by a head with Baze on. No. 3 Kings Adventure was also in that race and he gets his first start off the John Martin claim. 1-3
This race is set up for someone coming off the hot pace and we will go with No. 3 Purple Indy on the drop and No. 5 Burning getting off the grass and taking the big drop trying to sprint. 3-5
Hollendorfer looks to dump No. 1 Seeking Asylum who ships in and gets the big drop in class. Steve Miyadi brings in No. 6 Good Samurai who is exiting the same race as Seeking Asylum. No. 3 Cat King comes off a nice maiden breaker, he gets just his third lifetime start and may have some upside.
Maiden 2yo fillies go 4-1/2 furlongs, the California Chrome connections of Coburn and Martin send out his little sister No. 2 Hope’s Love with kid Sherman the trainer. No. 6 Sierrastorm ran a nice even second in her first start and can only move forward. 2-6
