Race 1

No. 1 Indian Nate ran good here on the dirt on July 16th. The inside improved on Thursday so this looks to have a big shot if he can find a lane turning for home. No. 5 American Act exits the same race and he just did fail to hold and now gets his first start off the Miyadi claim and gets the hustling Tyler Baze. 1-5

Race 2

No. 2 Nobel Kent gets a major drop in class. All is not well with this 6yo gelding but he could very well get there in this spot for the very sharp Andy Mathis. No. 5 Tester drops to a much better level for D’Amato. No. 7 Ransom Canyon is another dropper and he is out of the super hot O’Neill barn. 2-5-7

Race 3

Trainer Peter Miller sends out the uncoupled entry of No. 1 Jazzy Josh who drops back to the level of his last win and the price he was claimed for. No. 2 Global Magician could be the speed of the speed and he gets the good turf jock Kieron Fallon. 1-2

Race 4

No. 3 Can Can Babe has a very interesting work pattern with three straight seven furlong works, No. 5 Hold Me Fast went wire-to-wire in her first start at Los Al when sent off at 6/5. No. 8 Mothernaturespell has a nice last work here and looks the one to beat off her good last win at the price tag. 3-5-8**

Race 5

No. 5 Look Me in the Eye showed good early speed in his one and only start when sent off at 7/5, he gets Bejarano today. No. 7 Tengas Ransom ran a solid second here on July 17th when beating No. 8 Captain Akers who beat Look Me in the Eye one race back. 5-7-8

They go five furlongs on the grass and No. 1 Lamontagne has been looking for a race like this for Wesley Ward, she comes off a six furlong turf win at Belmont Park. No. 4 Sensitively has big early speed and she has a good last work on this turf course. No. 7 Sweet Spell ran good in her two races down the hill last year at Santa Anita and No. 9 Tale of Papa Nick also ran good down the hill. 1**-4-7-9

Key exacta and trifecta 1 with 4-7-9 and 4-7-9 with 1

Race 7

We need to do some board watching in this 5-1/2 furlong 2yo filly maiden race. No. 2 Oh Great Idea is out of the hot young sire J P’s Gusto who sired first time starter Dr. Crabby who won here on Thursday. No. 3 Forever Darling gets Bejarano riding for Baltas and that’s always a go sign. No. 4 One Last Shot is a Baffert first time starter with a very sharp five furlong work. No. 9 Two Steps of Glory is out of the Mark Casse barn and she also has been working well here as with the Peter Miller first time starter No. 10 Shakti. 2-3-4-9-10

Race 8

No. 1 Beholder will once again be odds on and once again her only danger looks to come from No. 4 Warren’s Veneda who sharpened her speed in the 6-1/2 furlong Great Lady. It would be a huge upset if Beholder gets beat but this is horse racing. 1-4

Race 9

No. 1 Yahoo Tahoe gets his first start off the Avila claim and he is overdue for a win and these Golden Gate runners have been doing just fine here. No. 4 Seeking the West comes off the layoff and worked a bullet here on July 24th. No. 8 Smooth Roller won at first asking when sent off at 2/1 at Santa Anita and now he will try and go 1-1/16, he could be this good. 1-4-8

Race 10

No. 1 Rosicky lost at .60 cents on the dollar last out and now will try the grass and Bejarano said he had enough so Espinoza gets the call. No. 4 Second Summer was our play last time out when coming off the layoff but the race came off the grass, if he can run back to his one grass race he will be right there. Bejarano opts for No. 7 Dylan Ward over Rosicky, Dylan was last seen here back in November. 1-4-7
