DEL MAR

Race 1

We start this seven race evening card with 2yo $50k maiden fillies going six furlongs. No. 7 Vronsky’s Devka exits a tough race and will show all of her early speed with the extra half a furlong. No. 8 I’m a Drama Queen drops in with maiden claimers for the first time and will move forward. No. 9 Good Looking also drops in with maiden claimers for the first time and moves from a turf route back to a dirt sprint. 7-8-9

Race 2

No. 1 Shame On Alex gets back to a sprint. No. 7 Basmati gets his first start off the Steve Miyadi claim and looks the speed. No. 8 Mistaken Identity gets a needed drop in class and this looks like the money run.

1-7-8

Race 3

No. 1 Dynamite Ride has been stuck in second his last three races; he gets extra distance today and that could get him home on top. No. 3 Rockin Robin exits the same race as Dynamite Ride and he was just a neck behind him. 1-3

Race 4

No. 6 Dixie Writer has been sent off the favorite in his first two starts and will likely be the choice again tonight. No. 10 Nusret was 7/5 in his first start last may at Santa Anita in a 4-1/2 furlong straight maiden race. He resurfaces in this $30k 5-1/2 furlong maiden claimer but Bejarano who was on him that day sticks.

6-10

Double

3rd 1-3

4th 6-10

Race 5

We will use two exiting the same race: No. 6 Storm Comin Thru who finished 3rd behind No. 7 Chief of Staff who finished second as the 9/5 favorite. 6-7

Race 6

They go 1-3/8 on the grass in the feature tonight. No. 3 Dido is in from Belmont for Graham Motion and he puts up James Graham, interesting. No. 5 Star Act just won a race at this exact distance on the grass here on July 23rd. No. 7 Circling was second behind Star Act in that race. No. 8 Honey Lake is the speed in from Arlington Park. 3-5-7-8

Race 7

There is plenty of cheap speed in this $20k maiden dirt mile so we will try and find a few coming off the pace. No. 5 Warren’s Honey Bee drops in from straight maidens and finds little to beat, she will go better today with these. No. 7 Katsfashion will try and sit off the hot pace today and will have a shot if able to sit. 5-7
