The lightly raced No. 2 Causeway Carolyn gets her second start here at the meet and we will get a good price today with Gonzalo Nicolas getting the call. No. 3 True History comes off a nice win here on July 31st and exits our HTW list. With not much early speed in here No. 4 Halljoy could end up on the front end.

Race 2

Maiden 2yo go 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 4 Devils Informer is a first time starter who has win first out on his mind as does No. 7 Tough It Out for trainer Phil D’Amato. 4-7

Race 3

THE $100K EL CAJON

With American Pharoah at Saratoga Baffert looks for an East West win as he sends out No. 1 Fame and Power in here; he never ran a step here on July 31st but has worked well since. No. 2 Iron Fist who was 5/2 in the West Virginia Derby comes back to town. No. 6 Gimme Da Lute will be heading to the Penn Derby. 1-2

Race 4

Second half of the second race as we get another field of 2yo maidens going 5-1/2 furlongs. No. 6 Record Highs is a first time starter for Carla Gaines who is out of the dam Super High who has dropped 6 winners from 6 starters including a stakes winner. That last work says he is on go. No. 2 Glory Bound has a big time last work here on the 22nd. 2-6

Race 5

They go sprinting five furlongs on the grass in the last leg of the pick five. No. 3 Oil gets his first taste of the green and has big early speed. No. 4 Law Dog won two times at this 5 furlong turf trip at Churchill Downs. 3-4

Race 6

Lots of early zip in this 5-1/2 furlong sprint for $16k claimers so we will look for a runner coming off the pace. No. 1 Justonemorething was hung out to dry in his last start, he gets Van Dyke back on and will get the good trip today. No. 2 One More Roll beat Justonemorething. 1-2

Race 7

No. 10 Little But Lucky comes off the layoff, gets a big drop in class and off the grass. She has a good last work and may be up to the task at a fair price. No. 12 Gold Journey gets her second start at the meet and will be making a late run. 10-12

Race 8

We continue to get our steady diet of 2yo maidens and we get open company in this race. Baffert sends out No. 1 Justin Squared with his main jock on board. This guy has a blistering last work of :58.4 best of 95, he is a runner. No. 4 Semper Fortis battled tooth and nail in his first start by tired form his battle to finish second in front of No. 2 South Detroit who finished third after he hopped and was steadied at the start. 1-2-4

Race 9

No. 3 Del Mar Ann ran to her name when winning here on the grass on the 5th. No. 4 Holograeme exits our HTW list off a much better than looked last race. No. 5 Sweet has a win and two second since being stretched out on the grass. 3-4-5

Race 10

We get maiden fillies and mares to end this very tough day at the races. No. 7 Soul Flyer gets her second start off the layoff; she has a bullet last work and has been well bet in all three of her starts, bet her to cash. No. 10 Moonie tried going long on the grass here on the 14th and now gets back to a sprint. No. 5 Lacey’s Rainbow exits the same race as Soul Flyer, she broke slow that day and can only move forward off of that race. No. 8 Don’t Tell Judy is a first time starter for a sneaky barn. 7**-5-8-10

GOLDEN GATE

Race 1

No. 3 Dance for Me Baby has had his chances but this may be his easiest; if he doesn’t beat these he gets another drop. No. 4 Halekou Thunder is a first time starter sporting a big last work. 3-4

Race 2

No. 4 Mr. Ornery comes off a nice win and beds down in a top barn who can repeat. No. 5 Supercabras lost by a nostril in his last race at Santa Rosa. No. 6 Justa Splash is the stablemate of Mr. Ornery. 4-5-6

Race 3

No. 4 McBoomer has won three straight races and will find a fast early pace to notch his fourth. No. 6 Forever a Fan gets her second start of the Mathis claim and looks the main danger. 4-6

Race 4

No. 3 Go to the Alter gets a big drop in class second off the layoff but has a good last work. No. 5 Foxy Lover is a two time winner here and the one to beat. 3-5

Race 5

In this five furlong turf sprint No. 2 Tim’s Go Girl ran second here in her on five furlong turf sprint and is coming off of back to back wins. No. 4 Deb’s Wildcard could be dangerous getting back to a sprint and the drop in class, he gets Gonzo back. No. 5 City by the Bay is the stablemate of Tim and has a shot. 

2-4-5

Race 6

No. 5 Noble Hawk drops trying to cash. No. 7 Celestial Image has good early speed and he gets his first try at this level. 5-7

Race 7

$32k maiden 2yo go a mile on the grass, if No. 1 Intoxicating Win can get the stretchout he will get that win, we will single. 1

Race 8

No. 5 Thru the Ages comes off the layoff for Hollendorfer who also owns this filly, she gets off the grass and drops into a winning spot. 5

Race 9

No. 5 Desert Moon comes off the layoff for Morey and exits a key race, she gets a top jock and is very live in this spot. 5**
